Remembering the Pool

I had this posted in the Songs Not Heard in Ages thread, but thought it might be something new for others. One CD release and a series of stellar concerts. This was a fantastic band. I look forward to the day that Neal and Gregg's paths cross again musically.

I doubt Rolie and Schon will do anything together again, at least not while Pineda's still around. The Journey money machine's in full force.

Schon's a much better player than Santana but Woodstock cemented Carlos as a cult figure. Schon's been playing catchup ever since. Musically, Schon's accomplished much more but won't be until his passing that it'll be recognized.

Speaking of collaborations, wonder why Schon and SRV never hooked up. SRV played on Don Johnson's album and Jan Hammer was a Miami Vice guy. Completely different styles but would've been interesting none the less.
