This must be why they moved the Darien Lake show from Friday to Saturday

Great opportunity. An opportunity for great exposure, and an opportunity to make up for the dismal performance on the Early Show back in Augeri's tenure. Journey never really does well on TV, so let's see what this time brings.

My bet is it brings another performance of DSB.

Well, if they're smart they will do Separate Ways. Arnel always nails it and is fantastic on it, especially those last two notes. They audience goes crazy at the end. A lot of great energy on that song for the band. Usually on these morning shows it's two songs, one old and one new.

If I recall correctly, the played throughout the show the last time they were on. But I think those performances were live, and based on the times given for Friday this is going to be taped. And you're right, if they were smart they'd play Separate Ways. But sometimes it's not up to the band. The network might decide they want to show DSB.

With the tour ending in October, I don't think they will delay the broadcast too long. It's not like it's going to push album sales. Maybe the original DSB will get a little bump up the ITUNES chart but that's it. Foreigner was on the show last August but I think they were pimping their new single at the time. Maybe Journey has a new song to surprise everyone with.

They could put a sticker on that and hawk it at the R&R HOF souvenir shop as Journey Memorabilia.

I don't think they would. That would be totally unprofessional for a televised show. The band needs to keep it's eyes on the prize and not have another superbowl moment, when Homeboy's eyes rolled backwards. Not that the fans will care, but just because they can accept mediocrity doesn't mean the artist should oblige them.

Good idea for a new thread..."Why exactly does Friga look "not so good" as a guitar player? Trying to be PC today. Is it the way he holds the guitar? Slumped shoulders? Just what is it?

That was there last televised performance in front of a national audience, so of course that is what I will be measuring it against. I fully expect a killer performance this time as Pineda just had a week off and will be under the band's thumb leading up to this show.
Look, the band doesn't care what I say so you guys don't need to sweat it either, just hit skip. I'm sure there a few more posts about Cain's nutsack further down the thread . Anyhow, I don't mind talking to myself. I do it all the time in the Foreigner forum.

Tony Bruno was just talking about Foreigner and Journey last night on Fox Sports 570 KLAC. He must be a fan, he was talking about the replacement singers etc.. gave Journey a round of applause.

You do realize you're on a board that STILL analyzes the hell out of every note on Perry's entire 95-95 tour and still brings up the 2005 White Sox "performance" every chance it gets... you think Arnel is immune? That Superbowl performance was THIS year, so we have a good 5 more years before discussion even begins to die.
