How many of you watched the original "Wolfman" when you were kids? I remember being scared as hell watching "Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman". They are doing a remake of the original movie that Lon Chaney starred in. From the looks of this trailer, they've done a very good job remaking the film. The only thing that seems out of place to me are the transformation sections... it just looks too fake to me. I'm still SERIOUSLY pumped for this movie, but I hope they spend some time tweaking those animations!

I'm having a conversation with myself here, but.. HUH? Who said that? Anyway, I'm about to argue with myself too... Here's a picture of Chaney's version, and they don't look much alike at all! It's amazing what YEARS can do to your mind. I hadn't seen him since I was a kid.

I loved those old monster movies. Those were the ones they'd show on TV late on a Saturday night. The movie host would be dressed up like a vampire and they'd show all the old classics. Vincent Price was also my favorite, but I especially liked the Hammer Dracula films starring Christopher Lee. He scared the crap out of me as a young child.




I'm currently reading the Frankinstein Trilogy by Dean Koontz. Great modern twist on an old story. I'd love it if they made that series into movies.

I was always scared of vampires, not werewolves. I remember as a young teen sleeping with my sheets up to my neck My dad had me watching too many of the old monster/horror movies as a kid I guess

I used to LOVE this show that came on on Saturday nights called "Shock Theater". They played all the old classics. I remember being scared to DEATH by a couple of movies on there. One was "Scream and Scream Again", which is a really retarded movie after seeing it now. The other one was "Salem's Lot". That scene with that kid's brother floating outside his window terrified me! I was also scared when he went down into the cellar to find Dracula and kill him. VERY scary to a kid. I loved it though.

For a good scare, You can't go wrong with Stephen King.

The make-up is real, but the transformations are CGI. His pupils dialating, and his fingers bending, are all CGI. I hope they get it looking a little more real before the release... I do think the make-up looks awesome though! I can't imagine what he had to go through to get that shit applied every day on the set.

Have you ever seen the movie Man of A Thousand Faces about Lon Chaney Sr? It was truly remarkable all the make-up and special equipment he devised to play his characters. Some of which were extremely painful. Just an interesting sidenote. Gene Simmons from Kiss wrote a song inspired by Chaney called Man of 1000 Faces for his first solo album.
