20 After - The Rock Stars Thread

Just saw Steven Tyler's picture in the other thread...Holy crap. I hope he's going to get well because right now he's obviously in a seriously bad place.
Seeing him made me look up other iconic rock stars to see how they look nowadays. But I wasn't able to tell just how much or how well they have aged until I went back and searched their pics from 20 years ago. Didn't dare going back more than that... too scary. lol

So this is 1989 and 2009 side by side. Just for a few of them (not too much time on my hands), but I hope to see more if you guys are willing to come up with pics from both eras.

IMO, Sammy Hagar is aging extremely well. Must be that sand in his crack.
And of course, Alice Cooper looked like a mummy 20 years ago too, so all's good for him.

Thoughts? Pics?

I know Garth Brooks isn't exactly a 'rock star', but he was probably the biggest artist of the 90's.

I gotta agree here. After seeing them last month, I have to say it was one of the top-10 shows I've ever seen. They were so much better than they ever were when I saw them before. I was absolutely blown away. This tour they are playing the "LOVE" album in its entirety, in album sequence no less...save for "she sells sanctuary" being played last. They have cleaned themselves up and look ten 10 years younger than they did five years ago. Every once in a while you catch a band on a night when they transcend their ability. My wife and I saw it. Astbury's voice is strong and mellifluent, and Billy Duffy absolutely burns down the fucking house. Every bit as good as ac/dc was last year. Anyone of you should catch this tour when they come to your town. I'm going again next month when they come to Boston. I'm stoked.
