OT: U2 at Chicago Soldiers Field 9-12-09 and 9-13-09

Is anyone else going to see U2 in Chicago at Soldier Field this weekend? The first night, Saturday 9-12, is soldout (60,000 tickets purchased), but there are still some seats available for Sunday 9-13.

I saw them in Saint Louis in 2005 and they were awesome. I can only imagine how cool it would be with 60k people there!

The U2 360 Tour stage design looks amazing, and has a 360 degree video screen. From the U2 website: "With over 150 trucks, more than 225 crew members, and local crews in excess of 1,000 people the tour is taking shape and will surely amaze the sellout crowd on opening night!"

It reminds me of when I saw Journey at JFK. The setup was all new and exciting. This type of innovation is what helps keep a band at the top of the Leader Board.

The U2 show rocked last night! Close to 60,000 people, and the most elaborate stage setup I have ever seen. Perfect weather, and Bono sounded great.

Did anyone else from here catch it?

Man, that guy was lucky... to have a stadium built just for him.

Would definitely be a good if not great show Voyager. How did the new material go over?

A few of them went over really well. "Get On Your Boots" really got the crowd going.
