Starting with no more Wedgies....

1.)- No longer can huge players form three- or four-man wedges, sometimes linking hands or arms, then head upfield and knock down potential tacklers like so many bowling pins. Now wedges can consist of no more than two men together, with the next closest player beside them at least 2 yards away

2.)- Defenders knocked down by a blocker can’t lunge at a quarterback and drive a head or shoulder into the quarterback’s lower leg. They still can swipe at or wrap up a quarterback’s legs while on the ground.

3.)- The kicking team can’t have more than five players bunched together pursuing an onside kick.

4.) - A defensive player can’t hit a defenseless receiver in the head with a forearm or shoulder. It already was illegal to make helmet-to-helmet contact

5.)- An offensive player can’t make a blindside block with his helmet, shoulder or forearm to a defensive player’s head.

The NFL has changed rules so often, they look like Congress. I know some are for a really good safety reason. I also know that the ref's have a hard time calling them correctly and TV makes a fool of them every week in multiple games . My problem is the cost only to have the game blown by the inadvertant whistle. TV replay makes fools of them. Don't we have the technology to call the strike zone? Oh, but the refs union is above the paying fan.

No more wedgies? Seriously.... These commissioner people should NOT be able to govern the locker room behavior of grown men. I am against this rule. What will they do for fun now?

This is one of the main reason I refuse to watch football. I don't know the rules, I don't know what is legal or not, and all I see is a bunch of guys running, piling on top of each other, and throwing a ball. Inevitably, someone in the room will yell at the TV... "Awwww come ON! What the hell?!?!?!"... and I don't know why they are yelling because all I saw was a guy running and I don't know what he did or why it was wrong, and by the time I get it explained to me and manage to remember it, they change the rules.
