Did anyone have the chance to see Whitney's interview on Oprah today? (Part 2 tomorrow.) I'd be interested is reading your comments.

I thought she looked beautiful. No, she's not 25, but she looks great for her age.

When she told Oprah that Bobby Brown was her addiction, I felt that was a very true statement. Anyone who's been in a co-dependent relationship with an addict or alcoholic can relate to that statement. Yes she did drugs with him, but she started doing them as something they did together. (Been there, done that.)

Her comments about fame and how it just took over her life and when she dropped out of the public eye, she just wanted to be a normal person, be a good wife & mother and live a normal life made me think of SP. It's easy for us on the outside to say "hey if you want all the money and perks that's the price you pay" have never experienced the reality of that kind of fame and how all consuming and isolating it can become.

LOL, no but Oprah mentioned it. They didn't go a lot into her drug use today. I think they'll be addressing it more tomorrow. She said that their drug of choice was smoking rock cocaine in marijuana. She also said Bobby drank but she didn't.

I find it hard to believe that anyone that did crack cocaine for as long as she did is really completely clean. Call me jaded.

Rehab and recovery maybe?
Although I have a friend who was a D&A counselor tell me that once a crackhead, pretty much always a crackhead. Very small percentage of former crack users stay clean.

The odds are definitely not in her favor. Regardless of the substance, the percentage who stay clean is very small. I do think she is still in denial. When Oprah asked her if she smoked crack, she said "I never smoked crack." But then she said she smoked rock cocaine in her joints. What does she think rock cocaine is? It's CRACK! So either she has not gotten completely honest with herself and others, or she's pretty dumb. She better take another look at those 12 Steps.
