It was fucking great! The Journey show Saturday night in Santa Barbara was incredible...especially from the front row.

Frank's party was awesome. Miles' band is insanely talented and has an incredible frontman named Chris Perry. He's a huge Steve Perry, David Lee Roth and Steven Tyler fan, and the guy really brings it. As for Miles, I enjoyed his playing more than I did his father's the night before. What a fantastic funk-rock sound he has going. They have a song called Samson that completely blew me away. Really cool to see Neal's mom standing right in front of her grandson supporting him. And, man, was it loud!

Frank's band "Soup" played for a little over an hour and jammed. They're a Grateful Dead tribute band and, though I usually don't enjoy anything by The Dead, I really enjoyed their extended jams. Evolution rounded out the night in fine fashion by singing all of the Journey hits and they were really good. The party was an incredibly good time and Frank sets up a great party for the fans. Thanks, Frank. You rock, man.

I just found this post, sorry for the delay.

Well, most of the pix from my camera are not appropriate to show - a bunch of drunk-asses making their own party. But, the venue itself, from what I remember, was quite fun. I can't speak for those who may have shots of me falling on my flat black ass, but here are a few pix that I took while still standing, I was on my second of 3 JD shots I guess.

Unable to add images. Maybe later?

Let's try this again...

My images from Gator Bash Oct 3, 2009 in Redwood, City, Ca. Or at least what I will show you all.

Image [color=brown]Poor Mrs. Schon! I rarely take pix with "noted people" for good reason. Anywhoo, I know I hugged that poor tiny woman and I think I yelled in her ear with my JD breath something about "respecting the mother/son relationship" and how much "I value mine with my mom, she's dying, ya know!"...Oh, good lord, look at that poor woman's face..."someone pry this drunken brown shitza off me, pah-lease!" I just know she was saying that beneath her tortured smile! Oh well.

Cheryl is a wonderful human and one of my dearest friends. We have worked together on many projects in the past and I am looking forward to our future road trips!!

She does look great doesn't she? And you look great as well.

Happy everyone had such a great time.

Sadly, I was well on my way to "tipsy town" when I met Cheryl! But, you are right, she is a wonderful person, non judgemental, which I respect, and very graceful. Please tell her I said "hello!"

Have a great day Miss Cat and thank you for the compliment. Oh, and of course all the best with Journey! :D

Hope to see you along the road again soon. (PS...I said 37, hun... )

I certainly agree. Cheryl really is a fantastic person. Also there wouldn't be a star on the WOF if not for Cheryl's efforts. :D

** Yeap, that's me in Paris in the avatar! And thank you, Fredinator!

** Yeap, I am a hot mess, thanks Saint John Too Tall!

** That's it, that's what Cheryl told me! It's all coming back to me now. She was a contributor in getting the Journey walk of fame stars erected...*snicker* "erected" ...in LA and here in SF in front of the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. I was very impressed with that especially considering I did not even know there was a star here in SF. I guess I only pay attention to the voices in my head and not to the outside world, har!

Heading out of town, but I hope everyone has a great week! L

Thanks for sharing these; sounds and looks like everyone had a blast. Sorry I missed the fun this year.

As for Mrs. Schon, after dealing with Neal's (and now Miles's) fans for 40 years, she is no doubt totally used to all the batshit things we say.

I think it's really sweet that she goes to things like that. At her age she's still really involved and supporting her son and now grandson. That's so nice.

Hi dear. Well, I f**ked up again! I am clarifying a comment I made in this post where I mentioned Cheryl's age, I never asked her if it was okay. I have, therefore, adjusted my statement where I can edit. Thanks, MBPL
