Not too many hotels near the Coliseum that fit those specifications;-)

This one is close and nice. Not sure about pets:

Otherwise, downtown is the next closest area:

http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/g ... -downtown/

Hope you find something! :)

Judging from what happened to Perry the last time he played Greensboro, I seriously doubt that is going to be a problem...

That was the show on the ROR tour that someone threw a bracelet (I think), and it hit Perry in his head. Long story short, he was less than thrilled. He stopped the show, found and evicted the person, and basically said he would never play in Greensboro again.

I may be wrong, but I think this is the first time Journey has played the Greensboro Coliseum since that tour. I know they played War Memorial (small venue that is part of the complex) on the '98 tour, and I don't think they have been back to Greensboro since. I don't think Perry has played in NC since that show, as the FTLOSM Charlotte show was cancelled.

It should be a good show. Here's hoping history doesn't repeat itself.

btw, if you are willing to drive for food, there is a GREAT Italian place on Battleground Avenue called Anton's with lasagna to die for. Also reasonable on prices, but then again, Greensboro is cheap compared to Charlotte/Raleigh.

Correct, Journey played War Memorial in 98, that was the last time there. Perry's Charlotte date was indeed cancelled (wow I remember that moment so well). Last time in the big venue in Gso was 86 (before my time). The braclet thing is fun to listen to on the boot - man he got soooo mad!!

Yes, VERY mad. Jumped off stage, ran into crowd, security was holding him back. Hard to blame him though. I doubt he even saw it coming--just got cold cocked.
