According to one of the plokkers, who read the s/b transcript, AP mentioned that this film by Ramona Diaz, "Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey" (http://www.everymansjourney.com) will be entered in the CANNES FILM Festival.

Now that would be cool. 8)

So does this mean the DVD won't be released until after the Cannes Festival in May? :?

Bon Jovi's Documentary was screened at the Tribeca film Festival in April and is hitting Showtime in October, so six months from screening to debut. Has Journey's been screened already?
Wow, What were the chances of them and Bon Jovi doing their documentaries the same year?

That blows! I was primed for December. At least we'll have the DVD very soon.

If they want to screen it at Cannes, are they going direct to DVD?

Cannes starts taking submissions in October, so this film should be already completed by then, just waiting for a distributor.

Not sure yet but I guess they will post more information soon.

Here's the e-mail from Capella & Ramona to the plokker.

Will be interesting to see this rags to riches movie about AP. I'm wondering if there will be some old video in it from back in the 80's when AP was performing with AMO. I would imagine there would be. I recall there were lots of fans filming the shows back then. Hard to believe I'd be the only one who did that. Filming Arnel and AMO back in the 80's, I was like Marty McFly in BTTF with my JVC Movie Camera filming Arnel's performance on stage, with the same exact make and model camera too.

Yeah, once again, Robert Fleischman gets no respect.

Oh yeah  , forgot about that. But he was only a contributor to those 2 songs, not the main writer ... SP shared writing credit on WOM, too.

If I recall correctly from reading tons of Journey tidbits, the knock on Robert was ... he was given tons of musical arrangements when he joined the band and only came up with a few songs. This info came from a RF interview ... that Journey was not happy with the speed of his contributions.

I'm not sure why though, the RF version sounds exactly the same as the Perry version, so I dont know what the man did to be a contributor happy. The band probably just did it to keep that cry baby happy

Somebody leaked a bunch of footage sometime back and it was just that....footage. The producer has been on a lot of their previous year tour concluding in Manila this year.

Latest News on this documentary......
Credit goes to Seven- AP's site

Video

As most of you noticed – we posted a 13 minute (trailer) short film. This film was shot early last year when he first started with the band – before any US tour stuff. Once we got on tour with them (US and Asia) they footage gets 10,000 times better. Honestly – so if you like this you really will love the film.

Loved the trailer..
On the show, Oprah announced “Look for Arnel’s life story to hit the ‘big screen’ next year.”
Does ‘Big screen’ mean it will be released as a movie and not just on DVD??

Yep – that is the plan!!!! We are hoping to do well at the film festivals then to the general theater release then to DVD.
