I got thru the Walmart BS and walked out with it from the very first store I checked. How about others?

I suspect there are many who could not get it yet and will try again next week.

I'm planning to make that journey to Wal-Mart tomorrow and see if I can capture a few copies for myself and to give away to some friends. Always good to pass the love out to my dearest of friends.

I have 3 extras for my kids and my Nephew, who are all Journey fans. My son and daughter were raised on Journey and fortunately still have an appreciation for the music.

Waiting on the PB version since it's not out on Blu-Ray. Once it gets released in the correct format to exploit all the high tech recording that went into it, I might actually spend money on it.

It's $10, you cheap bastard. The artwork and the fact you have 2 coasters to put your drinks on, if you don't like it, make it worth that.

At least the PB version will be one disc (which should have been done with Wal-Mart's version. A dual layer DVD can fit 30 song setlists in 5.1 Digital without a problem and no change in cost).
Journey hyped up the HD aspect, they need to deliver. Wal-Mart has no problem selling AC/DC's Blu-Ray disc. Disney and everyone else is selling the combo packs (DVD and Blu-Ray in the same package), so what is the hold up with Journey?
I'll gladly pay 20 bucks for Blu-Ray, the band just needs to give me the opportunity.

I clearly understand why it was released at the $10 level. It's called maximum exposure. But, it's quiet on all fronts regarding any plans to release it on Blue Ray.

Wal-Mart releases all these exclusive Concert DVDs at 10 dollars, not just Journey. The Blu-Ray versions are 20 dollars, which can't be beat.

Concerts should be heard exactly a they were recorded. After all, it's suposed to be about the music. Finally that's possible. Blu-Ray offers exact replication of the sound and that is what I'm looking at here.

I'm not knocking anyone for buying the DVD. I just want what was being promoted, an unparalled HD audio and video experience. Why pay Journey twice for that? I'll wait.

Thanks. I might be able to actually sell this house at 4k profit over my original loan amount. Apparently Baguio has become Korea Town because of all the Korean students attending university there, no longer the cool, mountain paradise it used to be in my younger days. If I can pull this off, my vacation will turn out as a full expense paid trip and I'll be minus the worry of trying to maintain a house over 7,000 miles away.

I've got my old lady pretty much whitewashed anyway. No real need to have a second home there.

funny, i was just at walmart about 2 hours ago - big super walmart with big music and movie section - and they didn't even carry it. they had a bunch of Revelation sitting around collecting dust though, while the Greatest Hits CD was just about sold out. Interesting.

You won't find it on the display area yet. They screwed up the date on the box to say oct 5th. I had to have an employee go in the back room and open a box. I'm sure they will be out on the rack next week. And I've been noticing Revelation is there sometimes and other times not, but never see more than 2 or 3 at a time.

What's whitewashed mean?

And I would hold onto the house and maybe rent it out or something. The value of the land alone is only going to go up in value because of where it is.

I'm halfway through it so far and I'm inclined to agree, although I haven't gotten to some of the songs I'm really looking forward to...

Arnel started off TERRIBLE on this DVD the first 2 or 3 songs but got a lot better so far, where I'm at.

I don't get all the big deal they made over this show being recorded with such high tech 4X HD cams , only to release it on DVD. To me it's like buying an HD TV only to hook up a VCR to it :?

needless to say , PB for me also.

I guess it was recorded with high tech to future proof it. I am bothered that nobody is coming forward to assure the Blue Ray camp that it's coming, so I can only take that to mean that it's not happening, at least anytime soon. :(

I bought it yesterday. My Wal-Mart had about 30 copies on an end cap. I watched a good bit of it this morning. Arnel did OK, but I was really impressed with Deen, especially on Mother, Father.

No. Nothing beat about Arnel. Spend $10 and find out.

Actually, say what you will about Arnel, just see it for the fabulous camera and lighting work, as well as to see that that Neal is fucking amazing here.
