Absolutely. I didn't know this was in the setlist, and what a great surprise when they performed it. Loved it.

They did seven Revelation songs in this concert.

Agreed. It's slowly creeping up my all time fav Journey songs. Arnel's voice just seems so "in the pocket" on this one.

Great performance, 10/10 vocally. But the production of the sound quality? not good! yak. Nice picture and the band sounded great.

That's what the remastering and release on the Blu Ray special edition will fix.

Think I'm kidding? We got the taste.....now we'll later have to pay for the superb product. The production technology was used, but the initial release did not exploit this.

Nobody knows if and when, but I read that this was produced in Blu Ray quality to future proof it. I take that to mean it should get released that way eventually.

Nobody knows if and when, but I read that this was produced in Blu Ray quality to future proof it. I take that to mean it should get released that way eventually.

They filmed it with the Red cameras, which shoot better than 1080p (ie $25,000 per camera to buy one). The quality is certainly there on the raw footage for a Blu-Ray presentation.

I was lucky enough to see the London Apollo show with AP in 2008 (same show that Jimmy Page was at) and had a front row ticket thanks to some great folks in the UK. One of those venues where you get to stand right up at the stage.

When AP did WDILYL, I was probably the only one who knew the words since Rev had just been released in the UK. Anyway, while I was belting out the lyrics, AP got down on his knees and sang a good part of the song right into my eyes and nobody got a picture. Oh well, still a nice memory, but I've loved that song ever since. It's unbelievable how tiny AP really is and boy was he shy. He's definitely grown in his role as Journey's frontman.

I just don't know why they didn't keep this in the set list last year.

Where Did I Love Your Love is my fav song off of Revelation and the two concerts I have attended over the last 2 years Journey has not played it!!!

Awww ... that's sucha cool story, Val. This has been my favorite song on Rev from Day1. Have been lucky enough to catch it live a couple of times.

Speaking of Jimmy Page ... finally got to see the documentary It Might Get Loud featuring him, The Edge, and Jack White ... I thought it was terrific.

Yeah, I know a bunch of the voice saving technics he was pretty much forced to practice in the 80's, cause I had to do them also when I returned in 94' to sing in Uly's new band.

Most importantly, no alcohol and no smoking. Those two items right there will mess the voice up fast. There are a lot of preventive measures as well.

Ah yeah, good ol Liquid Courage makes the audience think the person is singing and performing good and gives the person singing more guts to get up in front of everyone to do the singing. My father used to drink until he was 10 feet tall and bullet proof. That was before the Japanese ever invented karaoke, so he'd just go out and wreck his car instead.

I was only liquored up just one time while I was singing, on Kahlua and cream. I was singing "One" by U2. That song was so hilarious that I just kept looking off the stage and over at my girlfriend and laughing while I was trying to sing it. The line "Did I leave a bad taste in your mouth" was what was so funny where I just couldn't concentrate and finish the song. She was looking up at me like I had lost my mind. That was 14 years ago and I'll never forget that.

This song is my favorite off of the album (What I Needed). I would LOVE to have heard Perry do this song, but Arnel does an amazing job with it, and I think it is his showcase...

"What I Needed". I LOVE the whole kind of Kashmir/Middle Eastern Vibe that Cain has on keys near the end. This song blew me away on the DVD. Much better than the album version.
