Two underrated members of Journey

Neal and Deen!

Deen is just freaking amazing. What a powerhouse of a drummer! For him to be able to stay in synch on the drums and sing at the same time is just pure talent. What a gift he has!

Neal, what can I say. It's just incredible the way Neal plays his riffs so spontaneously. It blows my mind the way he just comes up with a unique solo or three in almost every gig they play and more amazing that whatever he fires off just seems to fit right in. If you notice it's like a snowflake....no two of them are exactly alike, but yet each bears his signature sound.

Those two are just irreplaceable Journey men, IMO. Rock on! :D

See, I'm not only a pinhead, but a Nealer and Deenhead too.

Man, I wouldn't exactly classify Neal as being "underrated."

Well, he's certainly not underrated with me, but show me the love out there in the music circles. I can't remember where, but I read something about top 100 guitarists somewhere and he wasn't even near the top of the list. He should at least be in the top 10, IMO.

Neal underrated? Are you kidding? Neal is the distinct sound of Journey. If you remove Neal, it will never be the same... NEVER.

But I agree about Deen.

In music circles, Neal is very revered. In critical circles, not so much...
