Bad English or Journey?

Swap out a singer and you have your choice of bands. Who would you rather release an album next?

My favorite BE tune:

With no tour in 2010, there would be time for Bad English to reunite and make another album. There could be two bands. Say Bad English makes an album one year and tours, then the following year Journey makes and album and tours. That would be fun!

A BE tour definitely won't happen. A couple local dates they could do but not sure what Waite's standing with them is anymore.

I definitely wouldn't mind them cutting another record though.

BE could replace Waite....it's not like a lead singer has never been replaced before.

Oh, I forgot....no Waite / no Bad English.

Didn't John Waite tour with Journey or open some shows for them a few years ago? It sounds like they may have gotten past their differences. If they can put the egos aside during the songwriting process, it would be a great project. I would like another Bad English album too, as long as it doesn't stop Neal from putting out a solo album next year!

Straight to Your Heart is a great tune. Good call.

Don't think a Bad English reunion would happen. Schon and Friga don't get on too well with John Waite, if I recall correctly. Deen is obviously on the same schedule as Schon and Friga. Ricky Phillips has commitments with Styx he has to fulfill, although he could do a Bad English reunion while Tommy Shaw is doing a Damn Yankees reunion with Jack Blades and Uncle Ted.

David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar toured together. I'm sure they weren't best buddies, but managed to suck it up to make some money. That was probably the situation when John Waite ate crow and opened for Journey.

I find the existence of The Storm, Bad English and Hardline interesting as a footnote of Journey history. Had Perry not gone on hiatus for so long we'd most likely not had these bands. Well, BE for sure.

He and Peter Frampton were the opening acts on the Arrival Tour in 2001.

I like Ricky Phillips on bass... he has some serious energy. He makes Ross look like a statue.

A reunion and cd by 'The Storm' would interest me farrrrr more than a new Journey release with Pineda, or a new Bad English release to be honest.
If i had to choose between the two on offer though it would be Bad English. The current Journey fail to excite me i'm afraid.

That whole album was incredibly good. I wouldn't mind a sequel.

BE was a good band. I'd like to see them play a few once off shows at least... if Waite can sing that well any more... can he?

I like a lot of the Bad English music and the other band members, but there is just something about John Waite that turns me off.

.....or Michael Sweet, or lots of other good vocalists. I find his voice is just ok, but it's not even his voice so much but his mannerisms/vibe or something, he just comes across kinda phoney to me.
