Thank God. The majority of that tour sucked. Perry racing through the older songs in the catalog like he had fire ants chewing on his crank was utter shit. But I guess it was better than the TBF tour.

While that was true of the bootlegs of that tour, the "documentary" (such as it is) had the ROR songs from the shows played at their normal tempos. If you've seen the videos for "Girl Can't Help It" & "I'll Be Alright Without You" those are taken from the documentary. There is a faster version of "Be Good to Yourself" too, but it's only an excerpt. I have it on VHS somewhere, same with Frontiers and Beyond. FAB is good, but the band DEFINITELY rushes through the songs in it.
The ROR songs always sounded good when he sang them on that otur. But, just like virtually his entire career, he couldn't sing the songs that were just a few years old. The dude could never take care of his voice and keep it the same for more than a few years. He was like 5 singers ... the early years, the Escape era, Frontiers, ROR and afterward. I grade them as B, A, A+, C- and D. Luckily, the degradation in his voice from the early years made him sound better (more like a man), but then it just got progressively worse till it was all but gone (TBF).
