Demands are increasing for Journey to tour Europe. Do you think they should strike while the iron is hot or wait until 2011?
I say, tour Europe and other countries but leave US for 2011.
What do you think?

Where do you get this information? Journey will not tour in 2010 because Schon has other plans and I believe Friga is still constipated.

Let's just say from a very reliable source.

Are demands really that big for Journey in Europe?

I would the think the demand would be higher in ASIA myself... but then what do I know... would much rather the band rest the whole year.
release the documentary this fall.. the NEW CD this fall...and then go on one last huge world tour for two years and then retire.

DSB is dropping DOWN the European charts now. You don't schedule an unannounced tour at the end of a popularity cycle, do you?
If people take time to listen to all the interviews Neal did the last two weeks over there, current Journey was not the main focus at all. Most of the talk centered around Schon himself, with an occasional mention of Rolie, Herbie or Perry mixed in.
I don't see why they would alter their plans unless they are 100% guaranteed of being successful, e.g., selling out Wembley.

I agree Gunnny that Schon's main focus is himself and his new band probably.
It's just nice to know that demands are increasing for them to tour Europe.I don't even think they will alter their plans this year. But who knows.

Taking the year off for Journey might be a good thing. The last couple years have sunk in and if people miss them the shows will sell quite well in 2011. What is not available everyday tends to sell well when it is available. I look for 2011 to be a great year for the band.

What demands? Promoters? Just some fan blogs? Inquiring minds want to know.

From the title of the topic I thought they were going to tour with Europe.

That's what Father Dan was promoting. That was pretty ridiculous shit.

Thats what I was thinking too. DSB and their greatest hits have fallen down the charts. Although GH is still at #18 though. Unless Journey can start playing some arenas or stadiums I wouldnt tour overthere this year at all.

Journey/Europe would be a
great bill. Journey headlines in the states and Europe in Europe. Or I'd like to see Journey/Scorpions in 2011. Again, Journey headlines in the U.S. and the Scorps in Europe.

Then they need to start booking Journey in arenas not theatres or halls.

Great thoughts, but what will they do with all the unoccupied seats? They need a stong co-headliner and it might work.

Yeah, I would only tour over in Europe this year if they could hook Journey up with a good opening act or co-headlining act in some small to medium size arenas 5,000 to 8,000 seaters or so. Then it would be worth doing it this year.
