Don't know either person well enough to say, but
Silverman's pro monologues would tend to support
the suspicion that she drops the N-bomb off duty.

*shrug*.
Fuck 'em both.

I can't stand Sarah Silverman and quite frankly, I don't think she is funny at all. She uses every racial slur known to man in her act and then tries to claim she was offended that someone used the N-word when referencing her act? I don't believe that part of her story, so why should I believe any of it? I wouldn't put it past her to be provacative just for publicity, so I highly doubt her version of the encounter.

I'll tell you guys what's bizarre...it's after all these years, for a guy who just wants to "be away from the spotlight," SP sure gets mentioned and included a lot in the public eye.

Goddamit, Steve, get that new cd out! :P Please?

It's a phenomenon almost as big as the phenomenon that WAS Journey back in the day.

before anyone asks, the answer is no - the person using the handle "bluejeangirl" in the comments of the Rolling Stone version of this article is not me.

I've seen her act and she's not funny at all. If anyones a Racist, it's Sarah Silverman. I have a lot of African American friends that feel the same way about Sarah...If John Mayer gets condemned for using the "N" word, then so should Sarah. I just wish they wouldn't set a double standard on her which is completely wrong in my book.

As for Steve Perry, I don't think that Perry said the "N" word nor do I believe that he ever did. The man has too much Class and Soul in him...and I do mean Soul (The man has so much Soul in his voice and to do that in the business of Rock and Roll is incredible)

When Perry said, “I can’t believe that somehow you seem to be getting away with all these slurs and the n-word, I just can’t believe how you’re doing this,’ and I looked at my friend and I said, ‘I can’t believe how she’s getting away with this,’ and she looked at me and kind of smiled."

I think that Sarah didn't want to hear this from anyone and she twisted the story around to make her look like she's not a Racist. I also look at the source and to believe anything that comes out of Sarah Silverman's mouth is not to be believed...she's as phony as they come. That's my personal take on this.

Let me ask you all this; was George Carlin racist?
Not trying to derail the thread, but comedy is comedy sometimes and things taken out of context become racist,
when infact they were never intended that way.
Here is an example that begs the question:

it's mostly a nonstory. Nobody even picked it up on those entertainment TV shows or Perez or TMZ, etc.

Thanks Rip...I wish I would post more often, but I'm not on the computer that much anymore...much less, my phone.
Life is too short so I go out alot and do things and just make the most of it...heck, I'm hardly ever on FB anymore (too much Drama for me)

I will say that if I bump into an article like the one posted here...I will put in my 2 cents.

Funny...I was out for Happy Hour from 3pm-almost 10pm last night and I was with some old High School friends for Drinking and Dancing at EL TORITOS (Our Table had 7 Women and 2 Guys...so I did a lot of Dancing...heh heh heh). Anyways, when I mentioned the name Sarah Silverman, the whole table went nuts and they all ripped her...said they couldn't stand her. I told them the story of this article to add fuel to the fire and they all went Ballistic.

Most of the Girls didn't even know who Steve Perry was until I started humming...OKAY, OKAY...I sang a little for them...I was a little drunk...but they needed to be Educated on some JOURNEY classics (They listen to a lot of R&B).

But they all thought the same thing about Sarah. Just goes to show you that there are people outside of Rock and Roll that know about her.

Hey, speaking of your name, I just read this bit from an interview with Chris Hemsworth who is playing Thor in the upcoming movie:

"The actor also joked that much of the rehearsal time involved teaching the actors how to pronounce the word "Mjolnir"."
