There might still be some life in Journey. Shirley hasn't kicked em to the curb yet.

Neal says Arnel has cowritten 5 songs, so I'm gonna remember that and see if it goes to print when the album comes out. :D

Just saw Joe Bonamassa's show last night in Red Bank, NJ. Simply one of the best performances I've ever seen. In addition to his blazing work on electric guitar, he blew away the 1500 people in audience (sold out?) with the most incredible acoustic guitar solo, showing off his talents like no other. I'm really looking forward to the project with Hughes and Bonham (and the former Dream Theater keyboardist).

Shirley also mentioned that they are not rushing the cd, which is good.

Well then tell Kevin to stop with the already finished shit then. Since they aren't touring, grill them bastards until there is absolute perfection. There is no rush...just get the album out before the tour next year.

They will be out of the studio the first week of June (Six weeks, the usual time for this). Arnel already has shows with his band starting on July 3rd so there are times constrains here despite Journey itself not doing any touring.

Journey can knock their shit out and let Arnel do his thing. Kevin is the one that needs to take his time and make sure this is perfect. Mix, production, sequencing, the works!!

Yeah, after hearing the Revelation songs live, I really discovered that the production on the CD was subpar.

Are you serious, dude? Live pretty much always sounds different than studio. You can't go back and correct live.

No, shit head, I'm not joking. The album version of the songs sound like they're dead, compressed and muffled. Live, the songs are alive and much more vibrant. TBF is the best example of what an album sonic is supposed to sound like. Revelation is not.

Is this still a "Concept" album? Or was that a rumor that missed being blasted out of the water?

Yes, the concept is 'How to write a fifteen track record with 10 ballads and call it a rock album'.

Preparing for this move at work. The good news is, if someone twitters about Perry being at Bob Hope Airport, I can run across the street and tell SP that the loons are en route, sort of be an early warning system for the dude. I can also take the opportunity to tell him if he's thinking about releasing some EMO shit akin to FTLOSM, go ahead and jump off a bridge now, and save us all the angst.
