One thing Arnel is that Lambert isn't and that's "seasoned".
Just being able to sing high notes is not the end all be all.
Being able to sustain the voice is also part of it.
Also, like many musicians starting out, Lambert needs to know
when NOT to use his instrument. Over singing and filling up every
measure with vocal acrobatics does not a good singer (or guitarist, or drummer, etc.)
make.
He will most likely do great things as he gets older. I do hope to God that he gets some presentation help though. While Lambert may be a good singer, as a showman, he seems to be relying heavily on his sexual orientation to determine his show. That's going to (and has) turn off a lot of would be fans. I could care less that he's gay, but while people like Lady GaGa and Madonna in the 80s could get away with that stuff, Lambert looks ridiculous.
Still, a good singer, but not on Pineda's and definitely not Perry's level.
