I had my first Journey dream...the band wasn't too happy to see me (LOL), but Steve Perry was...he was re-joining them for the first time.
So based on my insanity, the new album snad tour will take up 2011 and the Azoff will crack the whip as this business falls apart.... I say SP will be back for the mega-bucks retirement tour in 2012.

AWESOME Insane DREAM... and cannot be any worse than the one I had a few days ago with Brett Favre and Manning playing in the Super Bowl... but the kicker was that Brett was wearing the Packer #4... and not the Vikings #4...

::LOON ALERT!::
Are you trying to tell us something?? Maybe during that conversation you had with Perry several months ago, the Loon part of your brain heard something that the reasonable rational part of your brain summarily dismissed; and it has manifested itself in this "Insane dream".
/Loon alert
...or, could be you just need to lay off the vegemite before bed time.

American TV says you do, therefor, it must be true!
Do you do the whole "Shrimp on the Bar-b" thing?
What's your opinion of "Outback" restaurant?
Do you all wear shorts, drive jeeps, and have those big floppy hats?

By that time they will have developed a new autotune machine that makes him accurately sound like he did in 1981.

I think this is the last album of original material with Pineda, regardless. The guy just got a review for his cover gig, with the reporter proclaiming that he was doing just fine without the rest of the band. If he brings an audience to Journey that doesn't care if he sings one single new song ever again, why even waste the effort of creating it. I think if Wal-Mart hadn't come along, Journey wouldn't have created a new album again, even with the addition of Pineda. With out the big store backing a second disc pack-in at discount prices, I think the band's next release will remind them once again that a disc with strictly newer material is not what the average fans are looking for from this band.
And even if the new album debuts in the top ten, what is that now days? 40 thousand sales only?
No, Journey isn't a rap act or a Disney crooner, I think their days of doing new music are over after this latest release. It's not where you start but where you finish. A number one album really doesn't mean shit if it can't reach gold. Even Perry can't save them from what's going on in retail now. Steve might bring them big ticket sales on the touring circuit but when it comes to album sales, forget it, Game Over.

No, my prediction was that 2012 will be a year of mystery and "ooh, is Perry back, is Arnel out?" before the not-so-mega retirement tour in 2013 of about 12 dates.
