LOVE IT....................Ahhhhh that's Journey!

The theme at my wedding was Journey. My wife and I had our rings engraved with "Faithfully", my grooms cake had "I'm Forever Yours Faithfully" written on the sides, I got a ancient rune tattoo called Raido which means Journey and the rune was on the wedding flyer which explained why Journey was our theme.

Of course I could not have a Journey themed wedding without using the music and I used it in various key moments, when I entered to stand next to the preacher we played When You Love A Woman, and at the very end of the night we were lucky enough to have a huge projection screen come down out of the ceiling and play Faithfully from the 2001 Arrival DVD. I really wish that there was a live DVD of Perry singing Faithfully that I could have used, but at that time I did not have my collection of boots that I currently have.

All in all the Journey theme worked out very well most people knew the music and thought it was very clever working my favorite band and music into our wedding. What a lot of people found out when reading the flyer was that before Regina and I ever met she had not heard a single Journey song, and that they quickly became one of her favorite musical groups, due to the writing the musicianship and the voice of one Steve Perry. I can honestly say now that she is a true Journey fan and has several CD mixes of her favorite songs in her truck to listen to several times during the week as she goes back and forth to work.
