Could you imagine if Perry was in the band right now, 100 million dollar tour easy.
But I guess he has other things to do

Having not heard Steve Perry utter a note for over 14 years, the impact might be overestimated here.....just sayin.
The market for Journey is not the same as it once was, Steve or no Steve. :D

He has been going to, and sighted at, baseball games for years. I, too, hope he returns to Journey (but not solo, as that stuff is atrocious) , but seeing him singing along with 40,000 other people probably means very little.

I too hope that he returns to Journey as I feel that it would be a perfect finishing touch for the bands history and put them at the top of the Classic Rock history of music, HOF included. No touring, just specials.

Seeing and hearing him sing in public, which, by the way, he hasn't done in 15 years, means his pipes are still there or he wouldn't have done it. That and the fact he has stated on numerous occasions that his plan is to put out new music, gives more of a glimmer of hope than we've had in many years. That, my friend is not what I define as "very little".

He sang DSB with the White Sox in 2005 in front of an estimated 2 million people ... and it didn't amount to anything.

And for what it's worth, and, admittedly, it's not worth much, he sounded like shit.

lol ... I just want to put him singing along with 40,00 people in perspective. Journeyrock seems to want to make this into something it's not, and it's my job to keep the Loons in check. Besides, there's absolutely no way of knowing what he sounded like. He could have sounded like 1981, but I suspect he didn't, which is why I pulled up the only known live sample in the last 15 years. Granted, as I stated earlier, it's impromptu and not something worthy of grading as a performance. But he still sounded like shit.

Okay, I admit it, I get carried away sometimes, but hey, just like the song says, without hope, what have you got? Just for the record, when he sang with the White Sox, he wasn't hinting at a new record either. He's never come out and said that.....until now. He has said he's been writing music before, but never the quote of his plan is to put it out there. Even Friday, he said that he doesn't want to downgrade anything that he and Journey did together, but he wants to get new music out there. What can I say....I'm loon struck. Humor me, will you? :D

BTW, Nostrildamus is the best term put out there in the history of this board. I laugh out loud everytime I see it. Very clever.

It's all good. No one is a bigger fan of (the Perry-fronted) Journey than me. I was just giving you shit.

PS I coined the term "Nostrildamus." :)
