I am soooo tired of the song... ROCK of Ages performed DSB on Leno Monday night... YUCK, it makes me NOT want to see the play when it comes to town in April...

That's funny. I was reading some comments on yahoo where it seemed the younger, newer fans (maybe just temporary) fans where saying they were getting tired of the song. Maybe it's that way with everyone right about now.

Maybe it's time for Anyway You Want It to make a run for most overplayed Journey song now.

Very interesting. I remember some time ago suggesting that 'Turn Down the World Tonight' should be a country song/duet. When I heard Lady Antebellum's 'Need You Now', I instantly thought of Journey. The syncopated piano on NYN is eerily similar in feel & tone to TDTWT.

Lady Antebellum could be the band that should have done TDTWT as a country duet. Seems they have some Journey influence somewhere.

Although different in tempo & structure, listen to how close the sonics of these songs are.

Having seen Rock of Ages on Broadway and witnessing the Leno performance, there is no comparison. My girls and I enjoyed the show and DSB, though it should never be confused with a performance by Journey, brought down the house. Now the Leno performance? Not so good, but it was pretty much out of context.
