I have to admit Mr. Perry is winning back some major points in my book for his staunch support of the Giants. :)

Nice try dipshit. Perry I guarantee you was singing live, probably too loud for the good of his voice. Nothing you say will take away the fact that your guy Augeri mimed.

I hope Perry is surrounded by friends that use the internet
a lot, since I hear he really doesn't surf much...

If his silence over the years has been in part due to a fear of not having fans
or people out there dying to hear him sing again, the uproar his recent appearances
have made should open his eyes to how badly he is missed!

Hell, even the metal-headz over at BlabberMouth are in awe and excited
to see him alive and well :)

I couldn't watch the originally attached video but I found this one on
YouTube and Steve looks in good health, amazing spirits, and he's got
that trademark long hair... just missing the "Tailz" ;)

If the series goes back to SF, I wonder if anyone else in the band will go sit with Perry.
Now that would nice to get on video.

Dream scenario:

Before the 7th inning starts, Schon walks out of one of the dugouts
playing the opening riff to "Lights"...

... And just at the right moment, Perry comes out of the other dugout,
wireless in hand, and SINGS the song,
meeting up with Neal at home plate!!!

Song ends, they look at eachother, and then Steve puts his
hands on Neal's shoulders, looks him in the eye,
and says, "Man, I've missed you! What do you say we try this again sometime?"

And THAT would be the spark that ignites the Reunion, baby!!!

What?!?!?!? It can happen :P

I like your dream. But "Its Only Make Believe". (obscure Greg Rolie song reference)

When was the last time Perry sang to a stadium full of people? '87?

Great to see

What a great reaction by SF fans. You know the rest of the boys are going to be ticked that once again Perry takes the spotlight during the World Series.

By the way, one post made me head over to BlabberMouth -- great comments over there. Someone mentioned "Only Solutions" and Tron movie, which prompted me to just buy it off iTunes. Still remeber when that was released. They made some great friggin' music back then. And Frontiers was amazing -- with "Only Solutions" and "Ask the Lonely," it would have been mind blowing with so many hits.

They didn't play any stadiums on the ROR tour, however, when was the last time Augeri played to one?

Sorry bud, you're OWNED.

I laughed out loud reading your post. Dropping "fuckers" from you is hysterical to me. You think Saint John could fit in over there? Is he mean enough? :)

Sweet Spirit? Classy Guy?

YOU ARE ALL SO WACKED OUT OF YOUR MINDS>

Memo to Perry-

Dear Steve,

Yes, I know you had at one time the greatest voice to ever grace rock n roll, and also were an outstanding singer, however,

You sir, are one big son of a bitch. You are a backstabbing asshole who ruined many of lives, and destroyed a once great band. Karma is gonna get you Steve. The only way I will ever, ever forgive you is if you rejoin the band for a final tour. If you elect to stay at home and play house with your kitties, well I say to you, "Fuck off and die."

I have to admit, Perrry seems to be havin' a great old time at the game and not to mention, EATING THE ATTENTION UP -- I say that in a positive way.

The guy undoubtedly misses the limelight to SOME degree. Cmon, he has to. Part of why you perform is to feed that ego, for good or bad.

Now, just do this with a BAND behind you, eh Steve?

Well, Jon is known to be a big baseball fan, too. He has been featured on KNBR (Giants broadcast station), most recently when Revelations came out.

Funny, Jon's a Chicago lad AND a baseball fan. But the White Sox completed ignored him and asked SP to pal with them instead. And it's happening again with the Giants.

It is so telling that after all these years, whenever a Journey song gets attention, Steve Perry of Journey is the only one given praise. I guess it proves that it's the vocalist who makes the song a hit and makes it stick in your memory. His voice is like a medication for whatever ailment.
It's hard to imagine the pain that Jon would feel if he were at the game and not get recognized especially if his son was with him. That's what he gets for making those deadly phone calls.

He's not an attention whore.
