Yea, not sure who their PR team is, but they are worth every cent. The revamped Foreigner has been everywhere, from A&E to HDTV to PBS Soundstage. You can't get away from them. Unlike the Perry-less Journey which, until this lineup, shied away from media scrutiny, Mick obviously believes in the product.

Hard for Journey to push the product to the next level when they have HG living in another country doing Nescafe commercials with his other band. Any kind of marketing last year during the DSB hoopla could have been the push to get Journey out of the the 3- band touring packages and up another rung on the Rock and Roll Ladder but as we know, Azoff kept them shuttered in the stable.

Touring with the Scorpions is just one step they could use to regain a little momentum by getting into other markets but like a lot of things they do, if there is no easy angle (homeless Asian guy selling cans) the band's marketing department becomes invisible.

I agree they WILL need to find a way to regain their momentum. I think it was a mistake to do the small town touring they did last year. They were on a high, with all of their publicity surrounding Arnel, and then they kind of went away too quickly. They will need to get people excited again. There will be competition this summer!

I think the Arnel lineup has been fully promoted. Capitalizing on the DBS-revival on everything from Sopranos to Glee, the public knows the band is back. I was referring more to the Augeri years, when the band could barely get arrested.

I was guilty of falling under the spell of the band's revisionist history there for a minute, completely forgetting about Augeri. I agree with you in that regard. I got off on a tangent about last summer when it seemed DSB was at the apex of popularity, yet the only one seemingly riding the wave appeared to be Sony and Steve Perry.
