Classic interjection...nicely done.
I already fired off a not so nice email to this Euro Fag. I lit him up three ways to Sunday.

So you really don't have anything better to do accept abuse people you don't know over the internet, no offense.

Shouldn't this one be "Fuck you, too, too"?![]()
I'm with you on this one, man. Fuck this guy and his book. You wanna find out virtually anything about Journey? Just come here ... and for free!!! Not to mention other entertainment, some abuse, a lot of laughs and some really fucking weird perspectives. And, again, all for free!!!

That's what I meant ....thank you!!Andrew wrote:Michigan Girl wrote:Is this the book Andrew was supposed to be involved with?!?!
Not involved in ANY way....aside from writing a generic foreword for the book. Pretty short, but a few words from me.

(depending of course on whether it sells enough to merit a response)

Let me just interject something here. WAY before I had ever published my Styx book, I had certain fans debating its contents and my intentions in public, trashing me seven ways to Sunday - well before they had any chance of knowing what I had written. Some of that took place on the Styx forum right here on MelRock. And it actually worked out well for me, because I'm more than capable of handling myself, and I was able to sway a lot of fans to my side that way. But I also had things happen like, one nutso Styx fan spoofed my email address to send out a virus disguised as a press release from me. Others spoke personally to some of the band members to warn them that I was "out to get them."
Remember how that all turned out, sports fans? Exceptional reviews, great sales, and an overwhelming consensus from both fans and media that I'd gone right down the middle and gotten it right. And in the end even the band members mostly came around, and I've done business with them since then in a very friendly manner.
The point I'm trying to make is, why not wait until you actually know something about the contents of this book before being a dick to the guy who wrote it - whom I assume you've never even met? What if this book turns out to be great? I couldn't agree more that the story of Journey is going to be very, very difficult to get right - in fact, I looked into writing it myself and decided it was impossible before laying it aside. But I plan to read this book thoroughly before deciding whether he did the job or not.
By the way, even if this book turns out not to be a definitive job, does that excuse being a jackass to someone you don't know?
