I guess they liked the idea of being a world band like Journey so decided to do their own warm up shows for the upcoming Journey/Foreigner tour this summer.

"They will be joined by renowned Indian musician Niladri Kumar, the young Sitar Maestro, in a concept-tour where Rock Stars meet Rock Sitars! Every show will open with a 40 minute set by Niladri Kumar, a renowned Indian musician specializing in the Electric Sitar (Zitar) with Foreigner headlining"


Besides the UK, Foreigner will be joining Journey in Italy,France, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark and Luxembourg.

There's probably no real way to measure it, but I would expect worldwide sales of the back catalog to see a pretty nice spike after this tour. These guys are hell bent on their bringing the music to the people, old and new.

I think if Journey could have gotten Arnel back to the states a bit earlier, they could have joined Foreigner on this excursion. Azoff might see how it works for Foreigner and add dates for Journey later based on the reception Mick and the boys get.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the back catalog outsell the new album with in a few months of it's release if it's as big a departure from their legacy sound as they have said. The Greatest Hits was just back in the TOP 50 a few weeks ago because of the Tron Movie. It's a money maker.

Foriegner is playing an accoustic set at Soaring Eagle Casino about 90 minutes from me. Just picked up a couple of tickets. Bought them online about 90 minutes before they went on sale and was shocked how many tickets were already gone.

Really glad they scheduled this show so I don't have to sit through Journey again?

Acoustic show? That wouldn't do anything for me. Not from a rock band at least. Maybe an acoustic set, but not the entire show.

I'm a huge fan of Foreigner's accoustic based songs, which were mostly sung by Mick. I can't wait for this. I'm gonna win lots of money at the blackjack tables too!

Foreigner is not going to be touring with Journey in the states so that wouldn't be an issue anyway.

Listened to Can't Slow Down 6 times over the last 2 weeks and that is a fuckin fin album. Shit I hope they keep recording.

I like Foreigner and enjoyed seeing them in Omaha on July 3rd of last year, but their album was a bit soft. I figured Hansen would bring more rock to the table. And having a barefoot elephant trainer opening up for them is a bit embarrassing. But it is India, so I guess Babar the sitar player and part-time elphant trainer is par for the course.

You looked at a title like Angel Tonight and thought "Waiting For A Girl Like You" meanwhile it's one of the hardest rockers on the album. Dude it's like Journey, it can't Foreigner and not have a few ballads.

I heard a few of the songs LIVE, man. Nothing special and too soft for me. Though I do remember that one of the new ballads came across very well live.
