I'm sorry but seeing a drummer sing Mother Father is ridiculous. This band has no front man Thanks to Perry.
Pineda may sing good but he sure don't look right as a front man. At least Augeri had charisma.
Pineda looks like a little Philly kid running around. I feel bad for Neal , He was on top of the world with Perry and the goof runs away and hides, Millions lost money and fans

I don't think so. Watching Deen lay down beats while carrying a tune is a concert highlight. Still remember watching him do Suzanne in 2004...everyone was floored. Guy next to me pointed to Augeri and said "that guy's days are numbered."

Though not a fave, I don't hate the song, but it IS the worst song to end with! I don't understand that at all!! The ONLY time I enjoyed that ending was in Vegas, when everyone was walking out singing the "nah nah's" That was pretty funny. But otherwise, as an encore, it sucks!!

While the thinness of Deen's voice kinda bothers me sometimes, he does a fantastic job on that song this side of Perry. I remember the 2005 show when he did his first vocal of the evening on "Patiently". I had chills going down my spine on that one.

I don't particularly dislike this song, but yes, it is a really weird choice to end on, especially with a band that has a pretty big selection of bigger songs/hits than LTS was to choose for a closer. :?

you got to end the shows with the sing a longs...DSB to end...then come back with ** Anyway you want it** and LTS...a power three song end...killer way to end the shows...

I've sold Journey to people with Deen doing it. People are amazed.

Only one from Revelation? They should've played at least two since a lot of people bought that one. I would definitely rather hear two Revelation tracks instead of LTS or AWYWI.

I'm *guessing* that the original plan was to play 4 new songs and 2 off of Revelation, and at the last minute they added a 5th new song and took one away from Revelation. Either way, 6 new songs from the current lineup is pretty darn good.

same here.... I'd love to hear Arnel give it a try, but the Deen version of the song is pretty well received.

And just got totally to tape or keys on the end, or do they do that already?

I thought Journey was contractually obligated to play that piece of dinosaur shit directly before or after Broken Arms, so the dudes could all refill their beers and take a piss while their girlfriends / wives / skullcrushing ragdolls fawned and fawdled.

I wish they would take off Keep On Running and put Deen on Still They Ride. I'm just okay on KOR. And I would love one more slower song on this setlist. And Still They Ride Deen shines on.

The falsetto ending. Do they use tape or is that some instrument magic they use now? I don't think Arnel could it ike it is intended with the type of voice he has.

I think it's prerecorded with the falsetto outro stuff. Probably triggered off some program running on stage. Considering how high that last verse is though, I'm sure they could do it live it they wanted to between Arnel and Deen.

I really like this setlist, but I would drop LTS, add Higher Place, and replace Never Walk Away with Where Did I Lose Your Love

I agree about LTS...they will probab;y always play it, but how about playing it the way it was recorded and combine it with "City of the Angels"...put it in the middle of the show. Then, I could tolerate LTS.....but the normal version...no extended jamming on it....glad to see "Send her my love" back in the set....

It will be my first Journey concert (March, 30). I like the setlist and don't know if they will change for the South American Tour. It's a new market for them. I expect the same 5 new songs and I believe they will be well recieved. In South America, metal has more force than Hard/Pop Rock and the new songs are more "heavier" than the usual.

I would change Deen's songs: drop Keep on Running and Mother, Father and replace with Higher Place and Still They Ride.
I don't know if the band visit the site. So, here's my advice: Who's Crying Now is a song that everybody knows in Brazil and still plays in the radio. When You Love a Woman is also well known.
