"Resonate" REDUX

Ok, this is for all of us goofs who keep watching the available videos over and over again cause it's all we have. The wonderfully-talented Fabbest combined the best of our videos, replaced my audio with hers, then added some titles and fades. She be a god!!!!

I just realized I'd raised the audio levels and caused some distortion by doing it. I also have a bit of choppiness... I'm going to redo it.

Man, cool. While you and Fab are at it, could you clean up the other 4 too? (joking)

Really surprising there isn't a good soundboard recording laying around somewhere. :D

I think Resonate is the catchiest and sexiest song they've done in ages. I don't see how people can't hear hooks in that song.

With the sound issues Neal was having, I doubt it. LOL

Great video.

I haven't really liked anything much since the Perry days, but I think I agree with some others that feel this is one of their best.

Actually, Im going to call this right now. The fans that won't like this will be Filipinos who jumped on board because of Faithfully and Open Arms being redone by Arnel, a different group than the plokkers. Once they see that these are songs that other local singers won't cover (like After All These Years) they are going to be done with AP. He'll have his plokkers but the fans of the ballads (most Filipinos) who sort of jumped on the bandwagon late will be the first to jump off.

Remember, Arnel was allowed to sing DSB and Open Arms on Filipino TV at first and as they were on Revelation, his versions got played on Filipino Radio also. This time around, there are no well known ballads to sell to the home crowd and Journey has been much more more strict on allowing him to cover Journey material at home.

This cannot be all bad. Seems that many of them hang on too tight to the old ballads and don't want to see the band move on and for Arnel to fade into his own and out of the Perry shadow. Well, fuck em then.

Steveo, we are going to be two of the smart people who got inside the Journey ark while the floods came to sweep away all the naysayers and bitchers, still shooting off their mouths while half filled with sea water. Even after their heads disappear under the raging waves, you'll see a few last bubbles of air rise to the surface, each one containing one last dying complaint which will quickly be swept away in the torrential gale.

Great. The Edge of the Moment is next. That's a good one to do, because Fabbest's sound was definitely better on that one. I don't know about all of them, but that one for sure.

Do you know if Journey is going to release an early single, like a month earlier before the album drops?

Was it stepped down on that clip I put on the Hits thread? It was a Reno clip.

Deen I love on so many songs. But only Perry and Arnel for me on Faithfully. Stepped down live it doesn't bother me so much because I love the emotion of the song in the moment by Arnel and the richness of his vocals and power. Deen is a little too muted for me. Though, I wish they would add back Still They Ride with Deen. He's wonderful on that song.

It will be stepped down this tour. You hear emotion, I hear a song dragging through sludge. In 2008 AP was great on it but I think old father time is waiting for him this tour, especially seeing that there are three day sets already scheduled in Europe.

Oh, well, I'm a sucker for that song. The piano starts and it's all over. I could see the clips and notice what you say stepped down last tour, but when I saw it live, it just wasn't noticeable in the moment with the soaring vocals across the arena.

Agreed. Deen has a beautiful voice, and then to be drumming like that too when he sings this, or Mother, Father, etc., just floors me every time. Love it.
