Demos from one of Augeri's early bands, Great Divide, have surfaced on YouTube. He sounds real young here. May even pre-date his work with Tall Stories.

I'm assuming that UTCS is featuring someone else on lead vocals and that's Augeri on secondary vox? Cool song, man! Some funk, some jazz and some rock. 8)

Now I'm listening to Meant To Be and starting to think that that might be Augeri on the first song, too! :? I'm digging these songs, man. Thanks, TNC. :)

Man, his voice is blowing me away! They should have hired him in about 1984 and saved us 2 sappy albums with Nostrildamus!

Good thing that JSS and Jeremey dodged the bullet by not getting sucked in to staying long with Journey.

Steve Augeri, in his fifties, is a millionaire because of Journey.

Cool stuff, and he sounds great! Is that the Tommy who plays guitar for him at JTTC?

I don't miss that Euro-influenced early 80's sound at all. It was awful then and still sounds awful.

Untouchable didn't sound too bad, but the other two...yuk.

Dug the feel of the music on the first tune. Can't say that for the other two. Didn't care for the vocals on any of the three.

Yep. Haha. I think people lose sight of that.

Not my style of music but Augeri could sound pretty damn good on any genre, that`s why he was a Journey singer.

On this Tyketto song he sounds amazing, almost like Robert Plant.

Danny Vaughn is another underrated singer, love his music!

Here's Danny Vaughn and Tony Marshall accoustic opening for Journey in Glasgow. They were fantastic at the shows I saw!

I also love Danny Vaughn's latest: Traveller

OK... back to topic :D

hahaha,

none of your fuckers are picking it up - Level 42 was a big influence on this band...(one of my favorites growing up ("Lessons in Love" and "Something about you" they sang)....

In fact the "Under These Crazy Stars" sounds like a blatent re-write of "Almost There" from them..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8Qx9OjTLUM

I am into these demo's for sure - thanks for posting!
