Official Song Clips?

This question is for Andrew (and anyone else in the know):
Is there any sort of ETA for official song clips; or a pre-release single?
The Youtube clips are awesome (thank you RipRockin and Fabbest!), but it'd be great to hear some full production stuff!
As much buzz as the vids brought, it would be a not-too-shabby idea.
Any thoughts? Bueller? Bueller?

Samples should be end of this month/First week of April.
Not sure about a single. What radio format would it go to, Rock/AC/Pop? And of course with the lengths of these songs, we might be talking radio edit, yuch.

I'm pushing for asap...but no ETA yet.

I don't know why groups sit on new songs so long before releasing a single...well, dinosaur acts do. Pop acts saturate the radio as soon as possible.

Ok. You'll hear 30 seconds of the single. TODAY.

I hate 30-second clips. I would prefer a one-minute clip.

I asked for 90 seconds hoping mgmt would cut me back to 60 seconds
I got 30
But, it's a hint of what's to come at least!

I bet you're getting the advance clip that they'll have up on Walmart's site.

Either way, thanks from those of us that are looking forward to this, Drewsky.

That was pretty smart. I'm surprised they didn't fall for it. LOL

I made the edit myself....1.22 to 1.50... I did send it to mgmt for their reference though.

While I appreciate getting anything at all, this is the wrong song to release....it should have been Chain of Love...

So you've heard this whole song, City of Hope, off the album. How about a review and description of the song, your thoughts, or did you already review this song and I missed it?

I tend to agree...but the studio versions may change my mind. Chain of Love
is what I'm humming after I listen to all 5.

City Of Hope had the most pop feel but I feel the other songs are stronger overall. Honestly, COH sounds like a wannabe U2 song to me.

The opening guitar riff reminds me of "Faith in the Heartland", which was also criticized for being a U2 knock-off. Cain later admitted in an interview that he had been inspired by U2.

Out of all the new songs played, that one's kindof a downer.

That's right. Thanks. I had forgotten about your review of the studio version of City of Hope after getting sidetracked listening to the other songs.

You're nuts! COL is,
by far, the best of the 5 clips we've been exposed to! It has everything.

I'll give it another listen. Many of the new tracks are "dark" and "moody", but this one just rubs me the wrong way.

Even at the low 192kbps, I'm hearing more compression than I was expecting. Anyone with good ears hearing what I'm talking about or am I being too critical?
