Not everybody dogged Journey for that, I actually liked the retreads, they were just different versions that's all. Do you do that when you see a tribute band, slap your hands over your ears and go "OMG! I can't listen!" I would have liked to have heard them with JSS too even more though, his version of SHML is great. And I won't mind hearing the Foreigner ones too, Kelly is a great singer and I'm sure will do them justice. He does live.

You said Tribute Band ...
It's just a matter of what is more pleasing to the ear ...why would I want to listen to
second best when THEE best is at my disposal?!? It's like having a choice between the best brownie in the world and
one that is so, so ...are you going to choose the so so brownie ever when the best is right there?!?
I am not going to waste my calories on anything that isn't going to satisfy my senses completely!!
I will listen to these bands LIVE and look forward to it ...I'm really excited about Foreigner!!
I liked absolutely nothing about the Journey retreads ...they do not satisfy my senses!!

For his first album of original material with the band and a big money deal with Wal-Mart, I guess he was. Now that he's pushing six years as a member of Foreigner, maybe he feels he paid his respects to Lou. Now, if they start trotting out a story about him pushing shopping carts and eating Alpo then we may have an issue.

He's not doing any of Lou's hits. Just Foreigner's.

This is bullshit. They already released several live dvds and a live album with Kelly on lead vox. They even did an extended tracks cd with Kelly on lead. Stop cannibalizing the past.

Had Journey played the songs with the new twists and extensions they added in 2009 on the re-releases I would listen to them.

Probably another WalMart thing and they are telling Foreigner what they want. It sounds almost identical to what WM wanted Journey to do before they did the whole Revelation album.

Foreigner just did their Wal-Mart three disc package last year. Not sure if Wal-Mart would pony up the cash for a follow up effort so soon after the last one sold so poorly.

Thanks Don, I wasn't paying enough attention to them to realize that.

Wal-Mart's market share has really eroded the last few years for music overall since their media CEO defected to Apple. While they lead all retailers in CD sales, for total music sales, itunes has more than doubled the market share on them and even Amazon is running neck in neck with (or surpassing on occasion) Wal-Mart now.

Will not listen to the re-records. Concept pisses me off. :x :x

Will enjoy Foreigner with Hansen. He kicks ass. Journey better bring it every night.

Normally I'd agree, and give Hanson the edge over Arnel, but with Journey touring in support of what-sounds-like very strong new material, I'm more looking forward to Journey. Foreigner rocks, but their setlist is lazy and tired.

Same for Styx as well.
