It's about bands trying to restrict the flee flow of information that fans expect nowadays. It's no better than Lars bitching about Napster. That's just not the way you transact business in the music (and general entertainment, for that matter) worlds any more, and certainly not the way you accumulate goodwill with your most dedicated fans (i.e., those who would go to the trouble of both filming a performance AND submitting it to YouTube).
