There are still some holes in certain spots on the tour schedule, specifically in mid-August/early-September, so I'm wondering if a few more dates are coming. It wouldn't make much sense logistically to take a week off, do two or three shows and then take another week in between shows.

08/06 - Noblesville
08/10 - Darien
08/13 - Camden
08/16 - Hartford

And also...
09/02 - Saratoga Springs
09/10 - New Orleans
09/16 - Atlanta

Obviously, they'll take breaks when they can get them and won't be doing many stretches of more than four shows in a week, but especially with that early September stretch - it doesn't make sense to do a show, take seven days off, do one more show and then take five more days off. That would be a drain on the resources needed to keep a tour on the road.

If they're aren't planning on detuning this tour, giving Arnel a few breaks now and then would make sense.

Absolutely, no doubt about it. I would expect them to take a couple of two-week breaks during the tour, but not play a show, rest five days, do another show, take six days off. All of the crew, equipment, etc., still would have to stay on the road somehow.

When I saw them at the end of the Revelation tour, Arnel was running on fumes. I still think it's worth losing a few shows from the schedule though if the tour gets to be done in standard key.

Why would they cancel? It sold out last time, no? Might as well cancel Atlanta too then.

Because George Bush hates black people.

I think you're right, but it's just too big of hole unless they get something else in there soon. I guess there's still MS, TN, KY, AL out there to fill the gap, but the way the schedule sits now is ridiculous!!

Don't worry! If they don't play your city this year, they will probably play there next year.

:)

I would not be surprised at all to see Nashville in particular in between SPAC and New Orleans, or even between New Orleans and Atlanta. I'm actually really surprised it wasn't on the original tour schedule, especially considering Cain lives there now.

If there will be a winter break, isn't this TWO year tour basically the same thing they did in 2008/2009? They'll play some larger markets this year and then perhaps smaller venues sans opening acts the following year?

Be patient. I know some dates are being held up for contractual reasons. They will not release the Vegas date until after Foreigner has played their Headline date later in April. Most contracts state that you cannot advertise a future date before completion of the current date in that market. Some markets are really big in terms of where you are restricted. Memphis for example is included in some Mississippi casino markets like Tunica and Biloxi.

Hmmm... I need to go buy a lottery ticket. Just announced a Nashville show for Tuesday, September 13. Tickets on sale Friday.

You may also need a mega-quick trigger finger. The 5-star ILAA tickets for Woodlands (Houston) were gone in 3 freaking seconds, no lie... Myself and a friend were placing orders at the same time. Every available 5-star ticket was in someone's shopping cart within 3 seconds, at which point the status changes to "all tickets reserved", the immediate precursor to "SOLD OUT". I got extremely lucky to snag 3 of them.

Wow, are you serious? I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this one... I may try my luck on Ticketmaster. I've had decent luck in the past *knock on wood*. I have back pavilion seats for two other shows this tour, but for this one I want to try to get as close as I can.

Yessir, hoping a San Antonio or Austin date are added. Wouldn't mind a Lubbock date as well-

It's truely baffling. This is Journey, not Gaga, Bieber or some other hot pop act. :?

The promoters in Memphis are not that good, so i dont see them coming here, unless they come to Mud Island or Southaven.

Yeah cause' of that stupid Fed-Ex Forum first rule...it screws Memphis out of several good acts.

Although the Botanical Gardens does have a good summer concert series this year.

I know that for the Eagles and several other acts..Memphis is a late add onto anyone's tour schedule.

Hopefully their new album will be worth the wait and they'll make it down here.
