I agree. Let's hear the songs in their entirety before we judge them. I hear a lot of promise so far, but ill reserve judgement until I hear the full songs. I LOVE what I hear of Tantra so far! There are several other moments I hear in the clips that sound really cool too, but it's hard to tell where they're going from here. I like the mystery...

Putting them together with fades in between somehow makes them seem less choppy to me.

Still, would've preferred Andrew's take on them instead!

It doesn't appear to be a very safe release like Generations, but I don't think you can judge whether it is still Journey based on what is released at the moment.

While enjoying the possibility of the band rocking out this album, I don't want them to be what they are not, ie; a band trying to take itself seriously. Tantra, a song I was looking forward to is wigging me out with those lyrics. Journey isn't U2.

Someone has potential. Along with Human Feel, Chain Of Love and maybe Edge Of The Moment.

Human Feel's lyrics are dick but the music saves it.

Sure, you can get an idea from some of the songs, but not all of them. I dare anyone to get a feel for Resonate from that sample!

For better or worse, most songs live or die by the chorus, which often can be much different than the verse. That's often where the main hook of the song is. Without hearing that, you can't form a final opinion on what the song sounds like.

Take DSB for example. If you do a 30-second clip near the beginning where it's only Perry and a piano, I might like what I hear, but I have no idea whatsoever where the song goes once the full band kicks in.

I thought Schon pulled his old facebook page. This Neal Schon page states "This page is a tribute to Neal Schon."

Like I said, it's hard to figure out what's real or official anymore
