Ok. The thought of 90k asses for a Journey concert just seemed insane to me.

Journey music, in fact the whole melodic rock scene does not exist down south (London). The London music scene is shit, full stop, whereas from say Stafford (Middle of the UK) upwards melodic rock music still lives.
Not sure how the ticket sales are going, but i doubt very much whether Wembley will sell out, in fact i would be suprised if 7k are sold for there. The northern parts of the UK will probably sell out though, except for Manchester. If that place holds 23k then whoever chose to play there must have been pissed out of their faces as there aint 23,000 Journey fans in the whole of the UK put together.

Absolutely, I've said from the get~go it was a smart, smart move!!Don wrote:Foreigner has a lot of fans in the UK. Azoff obviously knew better than to have Journey try to fill these places themselves. They might be called the Eclipse tour but it's being billed as a night of 80s rock because good promoters knows that nostalgia sells.

Course, all the Pinheads think every little bit of input, by some people, is a slam at Journey!!
Foreigner will carry them more than once ...

Bon Jovi sold out 14 shows at London's O2 this past summer. There has to be some kind of 80s Nostalgia market there for that to happen. We're talking around 300,000 tickets sold over a fortnight.

Well, it looks like Wembley is SOLD OUT with only 14 not so great Premium tickets lift for between $300-$500. I can't believe someone would buy those tickets in the corners. Checking around, it looks like Glasgow is also SOLD OUT except some Premium tickets in like the 17th row. Rest are looking pretty full, except Dublin. I know GB it's all about Foreigner, but it is the Journey Tour. Anyway, looks like a great start for Europe!!
