Looks like they are back to standard pitch again full time. I guess Arnel has been working with someone. Very rare to go back up once the band has gone down. He seems to be singing better than ever on this tour. I may have to go see them after all.

It seems effortless now. He's obviously had extensive coaching. He has almost completely abandoned screaming, is moving less and using his entire body a lot more to sing. He didn't figure this out on his own, though. He seems to be singing the songs easier in standard key this year than he was tuned down two years ago. That's impressive.

Sorry, but Arnel is just not white enough for me.

;)

Sounds great.

Well, he's been off for a while. That helps. The guy's got great control of his voice. I know that Cain works with him on the road. If you check out the Everyman's Journey clips, there's a shot in there of Jon running scales with Arnel.
Gifted singers are lucky dudes. Struggling with it all the time is a freakin' bit**.

In Don't Stop Believin', you actually can hear him have a bit of a hard time with the high B note on "in the niiiiiiight" but he fixes it. That's just part of singing live. I just think the guy's a great singer. He's gotta lotta power for such a little dude.

Note to Jon Cain- dump the horns in LTS. Dopey.

Fleshlight? Hardly....at least those guys got the original singer back. Although Paul Laine has awesome solo stuff, he wasn't a good fit for D2. I just like the music man. I couldn't care less....

I just bought some decent tickets for Indy in August based on Journey going back to standard tune. I sure as hell hope it stays that way or my tickets will be for sale. They sounded pretty dang good in Argentina.

Maybe they're going to detune when the US tour starts, so they don't want to have these versions available for comparison.

Tickets are selling, right? I can't think of any real reason to pull these.

Yeah, unless they're detuning, it's really stupid to pull those clips. Arnel sounded exceptional and far better than he did on either DVD. And if they detune, I'm gonna be pissed ... even though I can't even tell in concert.  I want to hear the new songs in standard tuning.

The uploader is selling the complete journey argentina show in 2 DVD format, maybe the reason NOMOTA took it down.

Seeing as they took down the other videos that Fabbs shot before this, I don't think that is excusively why. There are a ton of Classic songs from this show still uploaded so it seems aimed at only the new songs.

It seems to be more of a quality issue with the new songs.
I'm sure they want the music out there, but in proper studio versions first.
We'll see what happens after the album release.

I was pissed after I got a response from the person who uploaded the original Argentina clip (that spliced a bunch of songs/footage from that show) upon asking them how to obtain the show only to be told it's not available for trade...hell, I never even talked about trading anything.
