I bet there are, JSS's main audience is in Europe rather than the States.

I see S2M replied below, but I'll reply to you since you're straight. Soto's got a mythical "following" in Europe. We've had people from Behshad to Andrew cyber-blowing him on here for years, but the fact remains that his "huge" following amounts to nothing more than a bar gig. There's nothing wrong with that at all, but the myth that this guy can tour anything more than bars and clubs alone anywhere in the world is simply bullshit. And I'm not even sure he could even do that and walk away at the end of a 10-20 show run with any money in his pocket. That has to be expensive as hell.

I saw him in Athens 6 years ago, together with Pink Cream 69 he was great. He sung a lot of stuff he was in great mood and shape we had a good time...and yes the venue was small but we didn't mind :)

From my side, as a 'solo' artist, it's hit and miss, mainly because I hit so many sides of music instead of sticking to one stride, completes me as an artist more than full houses and lots of money doing one thing. Smallest is about 150, pulled in over 1200 in many. With Talisman 1200 would have been on the light side and of course with others like Soul SirkUS and Axel Rudi Pell, that was between 350-1200 in Europe.

UK always has a nice following for me, been since 2008 since I did a gig there so I am expecting nice turn outs when I do return. I've laid low on most of my career items because TSO has been good to me, loyal as hell and of course it's auto pilot for me in terms of resting yet working, anyone who knows my range knows what I mean.

That said, I don't know where this 'huge following' thing came from, I've done enough festival gigs and theaters on our own to have a bigger following there than in the US any day which again, I can't say is too bad given I never had a hit single or Gold album to my (solo) credit. And I certainly do better than 'pocket money' in the end, otherwise I would have a day job by now!

But thanks Dan, for your wise and thorough synopsis of how well I do there given you've never attended a single show overseas....I guess YouTube showing more of the 'jam' or 'appearance' gigs I get thrown from time to time in between the past 3 years of touring with TSO can throw one for a loop...watch this space for something a little more interesting, hopefully sooner than later!

How about you do a second WET album and tour in the states? I got a great place for you to play in the Cleveland Ohio area. Lukather played there a couple years back. Also seen Ambrosia, BErnie Leadon, and Al Stewart there. You'll fill it.

Jeff....I know its none of our business...but when left without answers, we fans tend to make stuff up. If we knew how it went down in those last days, we'd quit fabricating scenarios.... :?

Just my opinion....I thought journey wanted to rock out. They had that with you. :? :?

Dan and I have an understanding, I know what he does is out of love and respect, haha, he's a good dude in the end, we've had our heart to hearts when situations have arisen....and I do get what he does here even if most of the time is to get under my skin :) Aint that what this site is about 90% of the time anyway?

All good, mud dragging and all :) :)

Great to hear from you Jeff!! You do owe us in the Midwest something more than the TSO summer show. OK, I guess you don't owe us, but it would be great if you did a show around here!!

For what it's worth, I absolutely fuckin' loved Beautiful Mess, and I'm glad Journey didn't get in the way of that album existing.

I was just listening to Friends 2 Lovers from Soul Sirkus the other day and thought hmmm that's what the new Journey could of sounded like. Brilliant.

Well time for me to chime in and add my $.02 , for what its worth.
If Jeff has a show in Europe, with 100 people in the audience, over 50 of them are true Jeff fans. Now if Journey draws 20000 to a concert, Id say about 1000 of them AT MOST are true Journey fans, the rest of them are concert-goers that went and saw Def Leppard the week before and will go see Bon Jovi the week after.
so while the total Jeff fans across the world is significantly smaller than Journey fans, when it comes to concert attendec he gets the higher percentage of true fans ;)

Cant wait for the exciting news :) ;)

IMO, the Soul SirkUS show was much better than the Journey show...seeing Neal and the rest of the band that close up was incredible. The three best musicians at their respective instruments I've seen, and JSS sounded great on the SS, Seal, Prince, etc stuff.

I liked Soul SirkUS as much as anyone here, much more than most, but as great as it is it pales in comparison to what I've heard of the new Journey stuff.
