I believe I called this a few months back, about Sony benefiting from Journey touring Latin America without a tangible, new product to offer. All three songs now in iTunes top 100 Rock songs.
To all those who thought a harsh, change in direction with Eclipse would bury this band, as long as Journey can produce the dirty dozen every night, they don't need to sell one single new album or song.
As a touring band, Journey's back catalog is their golden ticket until Arnel's voice wears out, it's money in the bank.
For those of us who wanted something a bit different, Eclipse may be it; for the rest of the folk, Journey can continue to keep truckin' on with the dirty dozen, just like Foreigner, Bon Jovi, U2 and all the rest of the great '80s acts.

I love that Separate Ways is getting some sales. I don't know of it's from Tron Legacy coming out on DVD or what but just a great song that has held up very well over the years.

Good to see that their hard work and entrance into new markets is paying off.

What did you think of the idea to make Human Feel a single in Latin America?
Do you think they should just blow off releasing anymore edited singles and just rotate ALL of the Eclipse songs throughout their playlist this tour?

My guess is that AP gets nothing from these increased sales of the back catalog, even though he tours these markets and helps
keep the music alive. Tour revenue it is......

They hired him for touring. Arnel said as recent as last year that he still gets paid up front for everything. Deen's in the same boat but he ain't complaining. Better than pushing shopping carts. Touring Revenue is huge these days, even with the three band split that will be in line for this tour.

I wonder if Deen and Arnel get the same amount. Hell, I just wonder what the amount for either of them is. Do Neal, Jon, and Ross get the same amount after touring?

I wonder how much Irving get before any of them.
