Leno, Letterman, Kimmel, Fallon or even Idol? Why no single released to U.S. radio or at least itunes?

Question Is: WHY hasn't Journey appeared on any of the late night talk shows? Especially given their recent resurgence in popularity since 2008. I believe this is a very important media outlet for Journey. They still have a few weeks left before they leave for Europe. I wonder what exactly is planned for them in the promotions department for the week of Eclipse's release?

If the Today Show could have written it into the contract that Journey plays DSB five times, they probably would have.

Besides, isn't the Summer Concert Series when the artist plays multiple times throughout the entire show? They will obviously do DSB, but hopefully there's enough time to do a new song plus some other hits.

No shit! You know they will though. They need to find a way to blow American music
fan's socks off. No superbowl beer garden type performances either.

If I remember right, they didn't play anything original off of Revelation last time they appeared on CBS.

I think that's right. Or did they maybe do Never Walk Away? I know they did After All These Years on Ellen, but that might be it for Revelation songs during media appearances.

You're partially right, Never Walk Away got cut off during the credits, so the television audience didn't really get a good preview of anything new. I think they may have edited DSB too. The cuts on this new album would probably have to butchered/strung together to make the time constraints.

I remember seeing Foreigner on the George Lopez show and they edited it to only include the hits for the television audience so you had to watch online if you wanted to hear their new song.

Because this album is going to be a collosal flop sales-wise. I hate to be blunt, but it is. No radio friendly singles at all. No one will be aware of the album with no singles...thus no one will buy it.

Someone is a great classic Journey sound.
May do well, the best hope at least on the singles charts.

Resonate would do good on the AOR charts, a great rocker.

I think most would pass over the heads of the casual Journey fan.

Oh really?? And you can determine that by listening to 45 second sound clips?

Unless you want another Open Arms, or After All These Years, for Adult Contemorary radio, or for Journey to do the impossible by cranking out a Hip Hop or Top 40 tune, how can they even possibly have a "radio friendly" single, as you say? Radio is pure crap, and not a place Journey needs to go, and I don't agree that the quality of this album should be measured by sales. That being said, I don't think it will be a collosal flop. After all, this is Journey.
