Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

Can you go to the folder and see the individual MP3s? Got Winamp? Play it in winamp. Was it a .rar file by any chance?
You do know you have to extract the files first, right?

You may have to re-install the newest version of Windows Media player since your current Media Player possibly can't see the drivers.

Or like someone else said, play it in a different media selection like winamp.

Maybe your Windows Media player needs to be updated, which is easy enough.

Mine worked just fine with Windows Media Player.

Yeah, he probably has an older version of Windows Media player that doesn't support the filing format. He could either contact the file distributor or uninstall it (through Add/Remove Programs or Program Features) and then re-install an updated version of WMP.

I can't believe his media player's outdated. How else does he watch his porn?

Open the folder where you downloaded it to, take a screenshot and post it here.
I want to see what your files look like. If you downloaded rar file you need Winrar to
extract, same as unzipping a winzip file, sort of. You are fucked until you do this.
No version of media player is gonna work on those. Does the file end with .rar?

No clue how to take a fucking screen shot. Just downloaded it again and got this:

Windows Media Player Error Message Help

You've encountered error message C00D1199 while using Windows Media Player. The following information might help you troubleshoot the issue.
Cannot play the file

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. You might encounter this error message for one of the following reasons:

The file type is not supported by the Player. For a list of file types (formats) that are supported by Windows Media Player, see the table on supported file types in this topic.

The file type is supported by the Player, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the Player.

Your sound card or sound controller is not configured properly. Try changing the audio output device associated with the Player.
To change the audio output device

Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, and then click More Options.

Click the Devices tab, and then double-click Speakers.

In the Audio device to use box, select a different sound card or sound controller.

The file type is supported, but you are trying to play it in a way that is not supported by the Player. For example, you might have tried to drag a DVD file with a .vob extension from a DVD to the Windows Media Player icon. Or you might have tried to open a .vob file by clicking Open on the File menu.

You are trying to play one part of a multipart file. Use a newsreader or other program to combine the files, and then try again.

There's a backup plan in place for nontechies who don't want to deal with apple formats or winrar. The wheels are rolling here.

steve-o may be correct. When you saved the file, what did that file save under as its extension? If it was say "Eclipse.rar" file then you would need the Winrar software for it to run since Windows Media Player doesn't support a Winrar file.
