Just listened to the downloaded version ... settle down, Neal, I'm still gonna buy the fucking thing  , and I'm wondering if anyone else noticed the weird sound at the beginning and end of the song that sounds like the Arrival DVD menu screen??? Anyone?

Yes.

It's one of their very best written, structured, and played rock songs.

So what do you think, is Chain Of Love the best rocker on Eclipse? I know all the tracks have rockin' moments but as a bonafide Rock song, COL does it for me.

I'm surprised that I'm not as drop dead in love with it as I thought I would be. I love it's menacing sound, slow but deliberate 'fuck you' attitude and the intro is amazing, but I need a better sonic than this fucking laptop to really give an informed and official opinion.

With the absence of sap on this album I'm not embarrassed to listen to it in front of certain people.
Never thought I could say that. Journey has been one of those guilty pleasure kind of bands.

I got drunk on that moose piss once. Shit a brick....worst hangover ever. Bought a case cause it was cheap! Cheaper as an imported US beer than even local beer cost. That should have told me something.

I'm a Guinness man primarily but during the week this is as good as a dinner wine. My dad got me drinking these as a teen in the late 70s, when they had the little 8 ounce cans. Take a case out to the base ball diamond when ever we played family ball games with our cousins and friends. Had to go over the stateline to Maryland for purchases sometimes as Delaware had Blue Sundays back then.

The more I listen to this song, the more convinced I am that this may be the best track on the whole album. I'm with Don in liking more moody songs and combine that with one of the hardest rocking songs in the band's history = a instant favorite.

Plus, LOVE the lyrics on this number.

"When my desire becomes a nightmare,
I feel paranoia about what I'm wishing for."

Seriously, Mr. Cain?! You actually wrote those lyrics for a JOURNEY song?! By all means, continue to do so. I'm enjoying the change of pace.

I put Chain of Love behind my fav Resonate as favs, but, like I said, they're almost kind of interchangeable. I love moody songs, and Chain of Love is catchy while still being very unique and heavy. I love the way it builds and the mood of the song. Great song.

Everyone has their own tastes, but some of my favorite beers are in green bottles. - Becks, Hieneken, Moosehead, Spaten, St. Paulie Girl and yes on occasion even the "Rock".
