Eclipse song credits

Postby Don » Sat May 21, 2011 5:13 pm

For those that are interested. I'm assuming the credit for E. Pineda is for Arnel's brother, Erik.

Transcribed in the exact order that they appear in the liner notes..

City Of Hope - N. Schon, J. Cain
Edge Of The Moment - N. Schon, J. Cain
Chain Of Love - N. Schon, J. Cain
Tantra - N. Schon, J. Cain
Anything Is Possible - N. Schon, J. Cain
Resonate - N. Schon, J. Cain
She's A Mystery - N. Schon, J. Cain, A. Pineda
Human Feel - N. Schon, J. Cain
Ritual - N. Schon, J. Cain
To Whom It May Concern - A. Pineda, N. Schon, J. Cain, E. Pineda
Someone - N. Schon, J. Cain
Venus - N. Schon

He didn't get many credits but I guess it's enough to allow NS to be true to his word concerning AP being included in the writing process. 8)

It's clearly Schon's album. Cain is definitely playing second fiddle.

should Venus and Someone be switched in order? Only because Venus starts where TWIMC leaves off.

As someone who doesn't really follow the inner workings of the band very closely. Who is E. Pineda?

I think Lou Gramm, or Mick Jones had mentioned how even the order of the names in the liner notes lets you know who get's the higher percentage of credit/royalty for a certain song.

Notice how Neal is the first name listed on all but one song? Another telling sign that he completely dominated every aspect of what made this album. Not a criticism, just an observation.

I had forgotten Erik co-wrote that song - really cool he has a writing credit on it!

Not sure - It's been several months since he mentioned it, but I think it would be cool if he got an occasional
check.

Using a complicated formula (which I'm not going to try and explain), if the album sells 100,000 copies, maybe in the neighborhood of around 3,000 dollars?
