After several (7 but who's counting ) failed attempts, between 2 Walmarts, to procure Eclipse, I finally broke down and enlisted the help of Rip Rokken, persuader extraordinaire! He made one phone call today, to the same Walmart that just assured me they could not, under any circumstances, sell it to me, and I now have the 5 copies I need awaiting me at Customer Service. Rip is pushing sales. I only planned on buying 3 copies but telling friends about my failure to procure Eclipse got their curiosity going and they asked that I pick them up a copy, too. Also, the cashier said something that I will soon be starting a thread about. It's simply unreal AND hilarious!

It's true... I appreciate the thoughts, but I can definitely have a dark side at times. I'm not very good at sitting still, or being bored. Rock 'n' Roll is my Lexapro I guess.

For the stores, I'm just giving them the facts, because even the managers may not know. This one was very nice, but was under the impression the UPC's wouldn't scan or would show as 'invalid sale' if rung up. I just explained that we've been buying them at several Wal-Marts already, and just asked her to try to scan one. It was a pleasant exchange, and she was happy it all worked out.

Don't even mess with the cashiers... Ask for a manager or an Anderson employee if possible.
