Lemme guess it now: Perry will go first earlier in the day and then after he's safely outside a 100-mile radius, Neal and Jonathan will be allowed to enter the city and do their share of talking on the radio three hours later. 8)

Well, hey...it says they will be "guests"....NOT "sitting down together" to talk.
Yeah; you could be right....

This will be from past interviews as that has been the case for a while.

5150

A few months back Redbeard did the same sort of interview for the 25th anniversary of 5150. The Van Halen brothers were interviewed together, and Sammy Hagar & Michael Anthony were interviewed together. They were all fresh stories from new interviews.

They did the same with Styx and Paradise Theatre. Some were outtakes from the 15th anniversary show when they were all in the studio together (Dennis, Tommy, and JY). Other newer parts it was clear that they were in different venues - nowhere near in the same room or talking at the same - totally pre-recorded. They probably did the same thing with Journey.

Man, 30 years! I feel old. It's amazing how a 30 yr old song from this album is so popular now...I know it wasn't that big at the time - I remember "Who's cryin' now" playing much more on the radio.
(there was a brief reference to DSB on Modern Family the other night when the girl was graduating...funny show).

I e-mailed redbeard and asked him if this was the 2001 20th anniversary interview for Escape or if this was new. This was red's response:

"Hi Pat ,
It will indeed be the same interview , but an up-to-date script , remastered songs , & some live performances from the '81 tour . Thanks for writing .
Fyi , I just discovered my April 1979 interview with Jonathan Cain after he had joined the Babys , while on tour with Journey . Now that's something you don't have !
