No, better let Arnel do all the talking. Neal will spend less time promoting the album and more time bitching about the past. Arnel needs to be like Kelly Hansen and at least have a little bit of a voice in the media, no need to play second fiddle here.

I remember when Mark and Brian had Journey on when Augeri joined. Then when the whole Tapegate thing happened they were all over it. If I were Journey, I'd find another place to promote.

Well, it is Perry Country and a huge market. It also has one of the largest Filipino communities in the country. Journey needs to crack it and KLOS is the biggest station here to do it that's not Adult Contemporary.

yeah, I suppose. I live in Seattle, so I heard them when they were syndicated up here and I didn't really have any perspective on where they were from. M&B have always seemed like they can't get past the D12, but that's only from my limited exposure to them. I could be wrong.
I think everywhere is Perry Country, but if he's going to be awol, then what can you do? The other Mr. P is doing a fine job, so he gets my dough at this point.

When I Say Perry Country, I mean that Steve Perry still gets a lot of play here. Even on KLOS and The Sound, the other classic rock station, Perry gets mentioned in little bumpers for song sets and what not.

Journey is playing the Hollywood Bowl this time out, the same place they played with JSS. When I saw them, they played two nights at a 5000 seat Greek Theater and that was with Heart and Cheap Trick. Despite all the rock history here in L.A. along with the huge Filipino Population, the band doesn't seem to sell as well as they do else where. I don't even remember hearing any of the releases from Revelation on the local A/C Stations.

There were a lot of fans here in the 80s as evidenced by the five night runs at the L.A. forum and selling out the RoseBowl. You still hear ROR and Street Talk tunes in the markets and stores quite a lot also, another reason I described it as Perry country.

Gotcha. Well, there aren't many "rock" fans left from the 80s that can afford concert tickets. We are all looking to buy HoverRounds and those things are expensive!

Don, I'm surprised you're still here. Thought you'd be Raptured.

;)

Dude I'm not going to Heaven, I've got bolder aspirations. When I return back to star stuff, it will be to Infinity and beyond that my ticket gets punched for.

Well, he shouldn't feel bad, it turns out nobody got raptured. None were found worthy, I guess, and will have to ride out the tribulation (which is our lives) until the bitter end.

Funny Mark and Brian story...my kids were watching A Very Brady Christmas this past holiday season (yes, we have it on DVD), and I noticed that M&B make a cameo at the end. They're in the crowd, waiting for Mr. Brady to come out of the collapsed building. Was probably when they had their own tv show, The Adventures of Mark and Brian.

I don't get it -- how can Amazon be selling Wal Mart exclusive?

If these Radio interviews were the extent of their promo for Eclipse, it was a joke. Stories about Randy Jackson and people's golf games, while entertaining are not going to sell albums. The touring will take care of itself, it always does. Little shout outs from the back of the room yelling "Go To Wal-Mart" do not equate to promo.

Have these guys, even for a second ever thought of getting C&L back on their team or was that part of the divorce settlement also?

Just checked, Wal-Mart is not even offering Eclipse as a digital download, only Amazon is.

Why this wasn't mentioned in any of the interviews or even the official band site is beyond me.
