Still No Sign Of It Anywhere

So I went to WalMart on Monday, and they don't have it. The guy doesn't even know who Journey is. "Are they a rock band?" he asks.

I bet I go back tomorrow (Tuesday) and they still don't have it.

The WM near me had 45 in stock this morning. Here's what it looked like in the New Release area - right next to Gaga:

No promo at my store, either. Probably about 20 in the "new release" end cap, and then 20 more above the "J" section.

Mustang OK- not in the Journey section, not in the New Release section, but it was in the CD endcap behind the register.

Okay, so for FUN since we were out, Melissa and I decided to stop at our super Walmart to see if they had the cd. We went back to the electronics dept, and no cd on the new release rack. So we asked the guy if he'd look it up. Now he was a grey haired middle aged gentleman, so of course he knew the band name, and he put it in the computer, and told us that the cd doesn't come out until 5/24, so we can't get it until midnight.  He also mentioned that when we come back, it may be in a display up by the registers where they usually place their cd's that are exclusive to Walmart. So we went up front to leave, and saw a cd display case..... and sure enough, there was the Journey cd.

Look at my pic and take a guess on which artist they expect to sell more of!  And I have to say, I have NEVER seen such CHEAP packaging in my life. I don't care if it's $10.00. Anyone who gets one, not buying it at a store, will think it's a boot!  I have had card board cases before, but they always have a plastic holder on the inside. This should have been $5.99 with that kind of effort!  Anyway, I've listened already a few times, but I will pop the cd in now too and see what I think.

Oh, and they are marketing Lady Gaga big time... we stopped at Starbucks and they were playing her cd, because corporate said they had to, and they had her new cd for sale. But while we were there, the starbucks employees were talking to us saying someone just shoot them, they cant' take the music anymore, and they actually stopped it and put in a classic motown cd instead!

I noticed that Zynga has marketed her big time as well. Words with friends had a special promotion going when you play that game on your phone, and so does farmville and who knows what else. They know how to market her. That's for sure.

Gaga gets two editions in the front row? And Wal-Mart is not even the official Gaga store for this launch, Target is.

There is more value in something you actually have to pay for. Too many free internet poorn sites today and what comes

My Walmart didn't have it either, I'm not surprised though, the shelves at that Walmart are always half empty. I'm guessing they probably won't have have it until at least week or two after the official release.

I just picked it up. The guy at the counter tried to tell me that if it wasn't in the rack it wasn't available yet.
It's in, I told him. It's in the Anderson shipper to be put out tomorrow. Now please go back and get it for me.
He walked back, grabbed it and brought it out to me. I listened to it in a 2011 Mustang with a shaker sound
system. :D

I FOUND IT! :D

I went back to WalMart and I went down every aisle and I bet the security people were watching me closely thinking I was going to steal something. But I was focused!

You have to be Jessica Fletcher to find this thing! (For you youngsters, you have to be Veronica Mars to find this thing!)

They really need to make it easier to find it. If I know it is there and I have trouble finding it, how will somebody NOT looking for it find it?

Anyway, I will give my full review after I have listened to it enough to let it sink in!

:D Happy Days are here again!
