Probably, no earlier than the 29th for official numbers, though Gaga's pre-orders will already be known before then and may very well show that she will reach #1 very comfortably just from those sales alone.

Hits Daily Double tracks sales and they're reported on Monday and Tuesday. They come in like election results, meaning a little at a time. The final results for the week that Eclipse is released will be reported on Tuesday, May 31st.

Currently

Gaga at 173k (for the moment)
Paisley at 130k? Wow, did not see this coming. Maybe there's a mistake, it's still early yet.

Edited: these numbers aren't correct.
I = Fail.

I think the pre-orders are the first thing to hit the charts.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see over 50,000 first week sales because of what I've said before, barely any promotion. Of course, they're doing good on preorders, so that's a good sign. And Rip hitting every store within a thousand mile radius of his home will add another 100,000.

Piece of shit? That's a bit harsh isn't it dude? Gee, I don't ever remember Dave or his band going through the motions, playing along to tape and defrauding thousands and thousands of fans of "Live Music?" Maybe I'm mistaken, and they did do that (too).

I know I know, thou shalt not demean the Great Journey at all on this Board. Sorry, skimping away before I get shot.

It's getting a bit stuffy in here. "Anything" but Eclipse is shit or a waste of time. And for a music fan to not know of "Paisley," is an embarrassment. That guy is the new Garth Brooks and sells out stadiums, NOT theatres.

That's from last year.

I suspect when the digital sales start getting tabulated, Gaga is going to run away from the rest of the pack real fast.

I wonder how Bruce will do against her, when he releases next month (rumour- and it is supposed to be the farewell album). That could be interesting.

I always predicted about 750,000 for Gaga. Maybe she will hit a million, but she doesn't have the crossover that Taylor Swift had with country and young pop fans to hit a million the first week. But Gaga has been everywhere promoting this album for weeks now and three singles, two videos. A lot of controversy. So maybe she will hit a million.

According to Billboard, Dave Matthews Band was the top-grossing performer of the past decade. A touring machine, so it seems.

Okay, time to set the sites on Adele, can Journey outsell her this week? Her run at #1 is obviously over.

I hope she does. Her Mgt does it the right way for her...they promote, promote and promote. She herself is very good at selling herself, going on SNL and making the videos. Last time I ever saw any sort of promotion for Journey, and I mean a fair significance of promotion, was TBF, and ahem, that album sold a million(yeah, not really I know, but it "posted as 1 million sold"). There was NO promo for Arrival, Red13, or Generations, a smidget for Rev, and a smidget for this new effort. Let me ask you all this. If this record is so fucking good, and it does sound fairly solid, why not spend a few hundred thousand and shoot a video? Hell, promote the "new king" and further milk that story. When people flip through VH1 and see some small Filipino singing a Journeyesque song, they are going to ask themselves questions. Journey has been ultra cheap the last 16 years, and it clearly shows. Spend money to make money right? The Heavies in Rock, those that remain at least, Metallica, Petty, Bruce, Bon Jovi and U2, ALL promo the shit out of their new material. While not selling 10 million units each time out, all those acts sold quite well last year, each going multi platinum.

I don't know Deano. Neal is so passionate about this album and very proud of it, that it shocks me they haven't done more to promote this. They did have a month downtime or more, I guess, after South America. Maybe they couldn't get on anything as far as TV. Though, that doesn't sound right, because Def Leppard was just on one of the late night shows. But I haven't really seen any interviews, to speak of, or radio interviews. They are never going to have the avenues U2 or Springsteen have for promotion and fanbase, i.e., U2 four nights in a row on Letterman, on the roof of the building in England for a free concert. But something leading up to the release beyond the internet I expected. Maybe I missed it.

No. Fuck him. He called president Bush a "fucking idiot" in 2005. I hope he dies from ALS, starting tomorrow.

I know, because I didn't express any outrage when we found out what happened.  I rightly tore them to shreds just like many others on here. But the difference between you and me is that I came back on my own accord. I didn't need a sit down meeting with the new lead singer to do a 180, and I certainly didn't need to be a plane-hopping 6th member and drinking buddy of the band to come back. I came back because I felt it was time. No backstage passes, no drinking buddies, no access and no road trips. I came back because I missed the music. Enough so, that I was even on board after the month or so realization that it took to figure out Soto was just mediocre at singing the songs. I just find it funny that the guy that claims that he heard Soto perform live better than Steve Perry ever did is telling me that I'm essentially a ball washer.

I have no idea what ALS is but you have me laughing, even though it is an evil joke. Dude, a lot of people called President Bush an Idiot, and they were right to do so. Hell, one band even had a hit album called American Idiot, which I did find a bit overboard....also because I HATE Green Day.

You're on fire bro. Hey Guilty as charged. I had a blast though.(plane hopping 6th member :) ) and I hate flying too! No, it's cool, I was lappin it up I admit. Who wouldn't? I had a great time, got tremendous insight and inside looks at the going ons of a band/tour etc. I did get to meet JT and almost come to blows with him in a public place in Nevada, remember that gem of a night Dan? LOL, that will always be in my memory. Yep, guilty as charged, and I have no defense. I just found it funny Schon was ringing my horn all the time asking me stuff....what was I to think? Those guys were my heros man...sadly, the respect is long gone.

LOL, moron. Set aside your preferred taste for a second. You are seriously going to lay claim that the man has no talent? I guess 100 million albums sold and the biggest touring band in the world doesn't invalidate your sacred claims, eh?

you really got to pull the stops out with Deano...Try something like this...

"Hows the over sized Bryan Adams cock ring you made out of one of his guitar strings that you received only after blowing his guitar tech"

"Maybe you're so bitter with Journey is because you got your Springsteen toothbrush holder stuck up your ass"

"You're just pissed because you ruined your Corrs poster after getting drunk, tearing off of your ceiling above your bed, and decided to tea bag it".

you know, something like that.
