Spoke to Anderson Merchendising and was told a few things concerning Journey.

I was told that they had a big display planned in 08 for Revelation, and many if not most displays were tossed in the trash per Wal-Mart managers throughout the United States. Apparently they have final call on promotional displays (which makes sense).

Because of this, there were no special promotional its planned for Eclipse.

This has been a sore spot with Anderson since they do the work setting these things up. Many displays never make it out of the back room. Straight to the dumpster.

This happend with Kiss in 08 where only 1 Wal Mart store in the entire Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex had the display that Kiss was advertising on their website.

Happens with other bands too.


So if you want to pimp out the new Journey cd, some "street team" action might need to be taken on your next trip there.


She said the best thing to do is complain to Wal Mart's corporate office.

(I myself am not gonna bother with all that, but I will and have move some CDs around)

Oh yeah....she also said CDs were being put out today instead of tomorrow is because of Gaga.

Wow, even up to a few days ago, there was a member of the Journey camp who was adamant that there was going to be a big promo happening tomorrow. Crossed-wires here?
