Domestically, not internationally. My prognostication stands. 75,000 units domestically.

I think this is Wal-Mart bleeding it out for a few days. The Manila DVD sold 30k its first week, no way Eclipse is below that.

What are you thinking 50,000-60,000?

80k minimum. Really, If Revelation could sell 105,000 when Journey had been out of the scene for years, then this release should be close to that or even more, especially with the Manila Concert's constant presence on Palladia and with the Durbin kid singing DSB on Idol a few weeks ago.

Thats true and Journey is always getting praises and props from Randy Jackson on Idol.

I don't think Randy is praising THIS Journey. He's a loon.

This album wasn't meant to sell. It's just a NSB project riding on the WM deal coattails of the last Journey record.
Hate to say what we all suspect, but it DOES take classic-Journey popularity to sell. Sopranos, Glee, etc, was all about classic Journey. And that is exactly why WM required the last deal to have the GH attached. It was riding the wave.
The current (AP) lineup doing the DD was Journey's stipulation to including the GH. Because of the REV sales, Journey had the upperhand in landing the second deal. And I really wouldn't be surprised if the initial WM deal didn't include an option on a secondary (current) deal, hingent upon REV sales. NS took advantage on that outcome, and did Eclipse his way. I don't see a third WM record happening, unless Eclipse surprises us all, or there's a 'classic' reunion.

Monker wrote: The problem is they have gone back and forth on this so many times now that nobody really knows what Journey is doing any longer. With Augeri, they were moving on from Perry. With Soto, they were going in a completely different direction. With Arnel, they were all about emulating the classic sound. Now, still with Arnel, it's really all about guitar and pleasing Neal.
